I have been with Castlefields Surgery for a good while now. Also I am proud to say which Doctors I am with, as a lot of people are saying, "oh I have heard they are the best Doctors in Stafford". The receptionists are brilliant, they have really looked after to me very well since I had covid, even now that I have another illness. They are very friendly, always there willing to help on every occasion that I have had to telephone for. I like which is very important.......they don't sound like they are trying to be Doctors as some surgery's I have had in the past have done. Dr Holden is the best doctor I have had in a long time. Explains things in great details, for what I need for the issue, why I need to have them and any side affects to look out for. I appreciate it as sometimes doctors I have had they rush you in and out. And really don't seems interested in your wellbeing. I have heard a lot of people that are with different surgery's moaning cause they can't get through. Doctors are busy as they are trying to do there best to help in these very trying times. Well done Castlefields you are All brilliant. Thank you so much for helping me in these difficult times.
15 calls ahead of me when I rang for an urgent appointment. Over 45 minutes waiting, only to be greeted by a receptionist who quite clearly was fed up with answering calls. I suggest the practice employs more receptionists to cover the busiest times and sends all the others on cpd courses. They are there to help. Had I been suicidal I would not be writing this review!!
Typically poor GP service. Unable to obtain appointments, given appointment at another Stafford Surgery, then told at that appointment that you have to see your own GP! When I did see the GP she failed to diagnose cancer.
My mom had a pre-booked blood test today 03/03/2022. She turned up, in rather inclement weather, only to find the front door firmly closed. A terrible, terrible way to treat an 83 year old who had travelled to the said appointment on the bus! Thankfully, she is now back home safely!
It is sad to see the bad reviews of the surgery, especially where some of are no relevance to how the surgery works and the current staff that are there. The reviews for the surgery should be made on how patients come to the surgery and their experience of the surgery and staff. The reviews should not be made to personally attack the surgery and the staff working there at this present time. Although we appreciate that everyone's visits to the surgery is different and we welcome both critic and praise from our patients so we can endeavour to give everyone a good experience from start to finish. Some of the comments are not only slanderous and derogatory, but have no relevance to the surgery what so ever. Over the past year it has been a trying time for all with the pandemic but I can say that all the staff have worked very hard. Whilst remaining to change the way we work and adapt to the correct protocols to keep our patients and staff safe. I personally commend the staff on their dedication to the surgery at this time.

Fantastic care from Dr McCosh as always, I rang the surgery last Friday, symptoms taken by reception who advised I would be called. Received a call quickly from Dr McCosh after discussion I went to the surgery , after examination I was sent to the hospital for investigations. Dr McCosh is very caring, thorough and listens to concerns; always explains and reassures. I highly recommend this surgery.
My first visit to the surgery since lockdown, I had an appointment and the booking in procedure was effortless, my details and my vehicle details were taken and I was asked to sit in my car. Bang on my appointment time the nurse arrived at my car and escorted me into the surgery, I was dealt with in a professional but friendly manner and escorted back to my car. I felt quite safe throughout, thank you Emily P.
My doctors surgery telephone system is a waste of time, as you can never get through and when phone rings nobody answers. People will get fed up and don't bother again. This will cause more serious medical conditions as they won't bother ringing again and think the doctors don't want to help them..
This place used to be spotlessly clean but for the past few months I worry I'd catch more than I came with! The windows in reception are terrible the doors to the toilets are really dirty and I wouldn't even use the toilet in reception its discusting! This surgery really needs to find a new cleaner because I'm not the only one who was talking about the cleanliness of the surgery lately! I would have given zero stars if possible!
