Yeah for the price it's definitely not worth it. The rooms/bathroom hallways were very old faction and out of date. Paint was flaking off the walls, could feel the springs in the mattress, and the bathroom was so incredibly small it was hard to move around. Expensive for the state of it. The only good thing, was that the TV has Netflix.
Oh-my-god! This is definitely not a 3 star hotel! Should be more like 1 star or 3. So old and terrible looking. Our room was super small for 2 people, and the bathroom was sizewise like the toilets on an airplane. The lift wasn't working. When we came, 1 of the lights wasn't working but they fixed it after our first night and changed towels. They didn't change our towels after our 2nd night. The tap water isn't drinkable.
Location is perfect hotel is clean but everything there is so small from bed to toilet , noisy street and walking people there is no isolation and room was cold with heater on ..and it's expensive even if you are not in season ,staff not friendly but they will help youRooms: 2/5
The hotel was situated quite near the Paddington station and in a street with many restaurants and shops. The room and bathroom had a musty smell which made us uncomfortable. At first there was no toilette paper and I had to go to the receptions and get some. The room was a bit cold. We ended up not taking a shower that day. When you turn on the lights, a ventilation fan starts which is very loud like a jet engine.
Staff and location were fantastic however the rooms were like Harry potters bedroom and were in dire need of a freshen upRooms: 2/5
While this hotel is very small, especially in the single rooms, it's in a great location, is well priced and is also very quiet. You'd never know you were in the middle of London! The staff are friendly, the beds are comfortable and having air conditioning is a nice feature too. The bathroom feels a little like a cheap plane toilet in its construction but it all functions well and the shower was fantastic. I couldn't fault the cleanliness either. Some people have given this place bad reviews because of the room sizes but I don't think that's really fair when you consider the location. It's an old building in the middle of London and they've done a really nice job with the space. It does, however, lead me on to the only downside and that was the climb up the stairs. During my stay the lift was out of service which meant climbing endless sets of stairs to reach my room. Luckily I'm physically fit but it's not ideal if you struggle with stairs!
As a room for the night it was fine, but don't expect luxury. The room we had was small, but not cramped. The cupboard had 3 hangers and only just about fitted two coats a dress and a suit which I had a hanger for. The shower was very small, in fact the whole bathroom area, which meant it was pretty much impossible not to get the whole floor wet when having a shower. The facilities were rudimentary with an air conditioning unit that gargled, but we couldn't get to warm the room it was only a little cold, not a necessity and a small TV that made notably loud electrical noises from the power cable we turned it off at the mains. The other thing I noted, was a young couple in reception on arrival. They both seemed agitated and the receptionist at the time came across as distinctly less than helpful. They were trying to talk to the hotel manager who the receptionist had tried to contact, but was unreachable at 6pm on a Saturday ?!. We had to go out for a little while and saw the couple leave after spending at least 45 minutes in the reception area disgruntled and clearly without a resolution. I won't assume the details, but the way in which they were handled seemed poor and inept. I wouldn't say don't stay at this hotel, for the price it served us well, but I would warn not to expect high standards.
Great location, near Paddington Station. The staff were professional but far from friendly. The quality of this hotel is so bad that they have a clear disclaimer on the registration desk that they can refuse service for rude of violent guests. This is likely from frequent complaints. The room was tiny and filthy. The bed, not a proper double, was pushed against a wall where there were clearly visible drips of some sort that had run down the wall. The hallways reaked of bug spray. The incredibly small bathroom had a notice that the water was not fit to drink. No hand soap or any toiletries, only a shower gel dispenser in the tiny shower.
Nice staff, helpful. Small room. Good location. I give it 3 stars because the room I stayed in was no larger then a broom closet. Besides that, everything was OK. Hot running water, hairdryer, flat screen TV and a really comfortable bed. I would recommend if you are traveling light. They probably have bigger rooms. Overall, I was happy.
Nice compact hotel. Hotel workers were super nice. The rooms are a bit small but if you are looking for a good price room just to spend the night it is perfect. We were 3 person in the room. The hotel is very central has nice pubs and restaurants near by, and only 15 min walk to Oxford Street. The only downside is if you have trouble with noise it is a bit noisy outside due to ambulance sirens. P.s they have complimentary Pay As You Go SIM cards!!! I highly recommend this place.
