Fantastic little railway journey, In fact more than little it’s actually quite a long journey through several stations along the way over lovely bridges, rivers and through the Welsh countryside. The final station is recently refurbished and absolutely amazing. You can pay a couple of quid extra to upgrade to first class on the train. Only real issue is the train spotters anoraks have season tickets and sit on the train the whole day taking the good seats and reserving them for other spotters
Lovely railway, the scenery right next to it is beautiful with the river, the railway runs from Llangollen to Corwen, with stops in between, it runs for 10 miles alongside the river Dee. On our journey from Llangollen we sat in a first class carriage on a diesel train, so proper & lovely in the separate compartments in each carriage, the window that is down so you can carefully poke your head out as you are going along the line. We timed it coming back so we returned on a steam train. The staffvolunteers at the stations so very friendly & helpful, I would suggest looking online at prices as they vary, yesterday was a very popular day as they had a transport show, at one of the station stops, with everything from, motorbike, cars, fire engines, military vehicles,& tractors, so tickets to include that were more expensive, but is so worth it, for the experience & the scenery.
A beautifully ran railway. It really is a stick back in time to yesterday year. With pretty stations throughout the scenic line, And the excellent friendly staff. The train meanders through some beautiful countryside , In coaches that are very very well kept and comfortable . I would highly recommend this railway to anyone.
Had lovely day out, love the railway such love scenery. Stops at each station so you can walk around been few times, station is lovely and staff so helpful. We had trouble parking as the town was so busy and they accommodated us so we wouldn't miss our train ride.
Had a amazing day at the Llangollen railway with my wife and parents, the location was perfect, the scenery on the train was breathtaking all for a reasonable price.nWould definitely recommend
