Kyle was absolutly fantastic, and couldn't do enough to ensure we walked out of the store happy..! His product knowledge is second to none, and he really cares about giving the best advice, and the best customer service. I would definately reccomend asking for Kyle if you are in the Alvis carpetright. I think he's the Manager, if not, he should be...
Excellent service. Could not do enough. Very polite and friendly. The fitting was exactly what I wanted too. Helped out moving things etc great place to buy from. I will be back soon
Unprofessional attitude from staff. Went in to browse samples and asked a few questions. As I turned to leave the group of staff sitting down started making snidey mocking comments about the questions I had asked, knowing full well I could hear, and were laughing about it as I left the store. Really sad behaviour.
Spoke to a guy called Sonny, who was helpful and courteous. Would recommend.
Hi i purchased a carpet from the Coventry store carpetright for my mother i dealt with max maxwell, she was very pleasant on the phone she sorted everything out for me. And the guys were lovely Darren and I am so sorry i can't remember the other guys name , but the carpet was well laid nicely they cleaned up after them selves a job well done and they were funny .
It's been a long time since I bought a carpet so I did a fair bit of research before going to the showroom. My first trip was fruitless as they were too busy. My second trip was far better and I was spoken to quite quickly as I knew what I wanted. The carpet I wanted was now twice the price it was as the sale had ended, the salesman found a similar carpet at the same price. There are a lot of extras that I hadn't planned on like carpet removal and plywood for the bathroom. Very good salesman and service so far.
I wouldn't step foot in this store again. The staff member didn't have the patience for talking through any questions i had and instead asked "do I want it or not?". His attitude was incredibly arrogant and rude so I calmly told him so and said I'll leave it and walked out, as he sarcastically replied 'okay see ya'. I'm surprised this store makes any sales, I wouldn't give my money over to anyone treating with such distain, what did I do wrong here? Appalling.
Excellent service from start to finish. The sales person, estimator and the floor fitter were very helpful and professional in choosing and fitting their products. The work they have done on my floor is fantastic. Look no further.
Carpetright seems to be sliding into that unfortunate trend of offering carpets slightly higher than many competitors but offer some lines continuously changing on special offer or sale. Sadly this means if the carpet you'd like isn't on sale it is probably cheaper elsewhere.. but if it is then it is good value. This reduces it's actual lines and gives the customer less choice.
I rarely leave reviews online but I was shocked by how I was treated by the staff at this location today. I went on the Carpetright website yesterday to look at carpets. I need a spare bedroom re-floored. There were ads on the website offering a free home visit to be measured, etc. I filled in the form and received a message that the local Carpetright store Alvis Retail Park would be in touch to confirm my home appointment. Today, I answered my phone and was greeted by an aggressive employee called Qasim. I'm not sure of the spelling. He spent several minutes nearly shouting at me saying that they wouldn't be sending anyone around to my house and that I shouldn't have made an appointment in the first place. I was completely blindsided and bewildered. I asked, 'I'm sorry, I don't understand - have I done something wrong?' The man insisted that I didn't know what carpet I wanted, that I didn't know what I was doing, and therefore I wasn't allowed to have an appointment. He was incredibly angry and I have still no idea why. Eventually, I hung up because the abuse wasn't stopping. I received a voicemail shortly after from someone else at the shop called Mark. He calmly asked me to ring back, so I did. Qasim answered and was belligerent again, saying that he couldn't understand me when I asked for Mark repeatedly. Eventually he asked, 'who is calling?' and I gave my name. He handed the phone to Mark who thankfully remained calm but insisted that Qasim hadn't done anything wrong. Mark said he had heard the whole phone call and that Qasim was just asking me questions to get everything ready for the appointment. I stated again that Qasim hadn't asked me any questions at all but had just spent two and a half minutes berating me. At any rate, Mark and I just did not agree, so we ended the phone call. I won't be giving my money to Carpetright and I definitely encourage anyone in this part of Coventry to avoid them. I've since spoken with two other carpet retailers whose employees have, somehow, managed not to shout or be rude.
