Brilliant! Extremely dog friendly, as soon as we sat down the chef brought a plate of pork and a bowl of water over for our dog!! The waiters were so friendly and familiar with the menu, service was efficient but not rushed but above all, the food was phenomenal! True quality, beyond all expectations. We drove from Sutton in Ashfield my other half drove because the wine was too delicious for me to miss out on it’s well worth the journey. If I could change anything, the lighting could be softer. That being said, the food deserves a spotlight!
After reading so many amazing reviews, yesterday I visited the Italian Kitchen with my lovely mum & best friend, we loved it! We received a very warm welcome, the staff were so friendly, the service was excellent, thank you to William who really looked after us and on request recommended a dish which was the perfect choice! The atmosphere was lovely, the food incredible, fresh food filled with so much flavour, delicious! We had intended taking photos of every dish to show the beautiful presentation, however we were caught up in the moment of enjoying eating so we only took a few. The food was cooked to perfection, as a vegetarian there were many choices available, there is also the option to have a main course as a starter if you prefer to try several smaller dishes. My mum loved the smoked cod with pea and mint risotto, we all enjoyed starters, mains and the best tiramisu! The chef came out to introduce himself, his passion for food and the highest quality home grown produce was evident, he’s a really lovely guy. We are so fortunate to live locally & look forward to returning again very soon. We highly recommend The Carpenters Arms Italian Kitchen
Best Sunday lunch I've ever had! Absolutely delicious and stunning in every detail. Loved the saucepan of gravy we got with it! Lovely venue inside and out. Owners were super friendly and very dog friendly.
Food bursting with flavour and so fresh. The portion sizes are extremely generous and couldn't manage to fit in a dessert as we were so full. Plenty of cocktails including some which are a bit different to the norm, the blood orange spritz was really refreshing Staff are really friendly and make sure everything is OK without being constantly on your shoulder Great value lunchtime menu as well, £10 for a meal and a drink and plenty of vegetarian and vegan options as well
Such a friendly welcome from the staff and so attentive throughout the meal. The food was fantastic. Belly pork and lobster pasta. Beautifully cooked and presented and tasted heavenly. These guys really have injected new life into this venue. We will be back.
. We dined this evening for the first time following the pubs change to The Italian Kitchen. The food was Immense, there were 4 adults dining and for starters Mussels were the popular choice amongst the wife, the Mother in law and the Sister in law. All very tough critics! They all agreed that they were amongst the best they had eaten and that the sauce was what raised them to this level. We each had a different main and could not find anything other to say than wow, it was all beautifully presented and tasted incredible. I opted for the Nduja ravioli, the pasta was delightful and the filling was perfectly smooth and just spicy enough to tingle the tongue. For dessert I opted for the Tiramisu, a dish I will be having for starter, main course and dessert on our next visit! I was also quick enough to swipe a taste of the Brownie which almost melted in the mouth as quickly as it went in. Put this with the polite, friendly and attentive staff, who were incredible with the children, the relaxed and homely atmosphere they have created and it made for a perfect dining experience, I cannot wait for our next visit.
I really liked! Perfect dish size and flavor! Simple but cozy place. Super attentive staff. I will definitely come back againFood: 5/5
Lovely little pub in the British countryside, perfect for relaxing with a drink and a some of the tastiest homecooked Italian food we've ever had seriously the pasta made me cry. Very low prices for the quality and love that goes into the preparation and service. We'll be back soon.
Great, quick service. Fantastic portion sizes. Incredibly tasty. Brilliant value. Recommended
Really nice italian, welcoming staff nice atmosphere. We had lunch there, breads which was really fresh ciabatta and mussels to start. Mussels were excellent even so far from any sea. Even my 11 year old thought they were delish. He's now a mussel convert. The pasta dishes we had as mains were all fresh pasta and very tasty. The £10 lunch menu included a drink which was excellent value. There was one mistake with our order but they couldn't offer enough to put it right. Always a good sign. Would definitely visit again.
