Excellent stay. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean and fresh. I had a fridge that worked great, microwave, and nice size flat screen with an excellent picture. Office area was nice ample space and super comfortable chair. The check in went really smooth. The lady was really professional yet friendly. She has a name but forgot her name. She even called to check if room was up to par. Hope she is checking me in the next time I am in Newark are. Restaurant in hotel was to die for. I have not had Burger that delicious in a long time. The waiters were outstanding. Very attentive and went out of their way to make feel right at home. Truly rememberable experience. Truly an excellent stay. Will be back. Do recommend. I read the other reviews. I sorry the had bad experiences. I truly enjoyed my stay. The only thing I wish I had more time there.
During this trip, I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel of your group next to the Newark Airport in the East of the United States. This stay experience was the worst among all the hotels I had. I have summarized four issues that need attention. The first one is because I checked in for two consecutive days. Before I checked in, the hotel reception did not inform the guests that if they need to clean up the room the next day, they must inform in advance. As a result, the bath towels I used on the first day after returning to the hotel in the second night It was dirty and items in the bathroom were not replenished. The second is that the key could not open the door when I continued to stay the next night. I needed to go downstairs to reset the key three times in a row and it still didn't open. In the fourth negotiation with the hotel reception, I reminded the hotel to check whether there is a problem with the door lock. After my reminder, the reception chose to contact the maintenance personnel. During this process, the reception did not realize that there would be a problem with the door lock. And the reception questioned me when I reset the key for the first time that I didn't have a room order for the second night, the management is so chaotic. In the end, there was a verbal conflict between the reception staff and my wife because my wife asked why the room was not cleaned. Third, the facilities in the bathroom are not up to the standard for guests. Both the drainage of the bathtub and the sink are blocked, and the drainage is extremely slow. After 5 minutes of bathing, the water level can reach half the height of the bathtub. Fourth, the heater in the room is very noisy, like a train passing within 10 feet of the window. Every time it is turned on, there is a lot of noise and vibration, and even the floor feels obvious vibration. As a result, I often woke up because of the heating on for two nights. These are the most basic guarantees for guests as a hotel, and they can't be done well. How can a hotel with so many problems be open to guests? This is the worst hotel experience I've ever had in a hotel across America.
I stayed here for one night with my husband and daughter in order to catch an early morning flight. The location of the hotel is great if you are catching a flight at Newark airport, it was about a 5 minute drive to get there. However, the hotel is a bit noisy due to it being located on a very busy highway. The room was outdated and had some wallpaper peeling off in a couple of spots, along with some stains on the walls. Bedding was clean and the bed and pillows were pretty comfortable. The cafe was closed while we were there, and the restaurant doesn't open until 5pm - so plan accordingly for lunch! The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a good spot to stay if you need to catch a flight, but I wouldn't stay there for any other reason.
Convenient to the airport if you are traveling. The hotel uses an independent parking lot company that runs shuttles to the airport every 10-15 minutes 24/7. The hotel also runs shuttles every thirty minutes. As for the hotel the rooms are clean but tired. The mattress on both beds in our room were a year past their useful dates. Very lumpy and sagging. Front entrance was blocked by the shuttle who wouldn't move so we could unload. The front desk staff doing the minimum. The prices is good. The hotel is convenient. The comfort rating is a negative .
Reasonable accommodations for price, etc. however …. Airport shuttle was a big issue for us. Overnight manager made a big point to stress for passengers to be there on time so we can leave promptly. Overnight driver is expecting his relief at 7am. Relief isn’t here. Overnight driver refuses to drive us to the airport and walked off leaving us stranded. Didn’t let the manager know. Left us locked on the shuttle bus. Had to take an Uber. As this all cone together this morning - the best the front desk folks could do was say “oh, you need to talk to Dwayne, he’s the manager.” Pretty appalling lack of service.
Great if no shower needed. The place and staff were great. Good and bar were good and the shuttle to airport was on point. But the if your needing to shower I would strongly suggest check to see if it drain when you first arrive.
The lobby was very nice and so was the staff, beds were comfy and pillows were amazing. Our room was a bit dated with torn curtains and the AC was set to 90 when we arrived. The shuttle service to and from the airport was exceptional.
Worst hotel I've stayed in ever! The amount of noise of the night club outside until after 3am, was insane. The windows and walls must've been paper thin!!!! So much for getting any sleep before an early flight. DON'T STAY HERE! And if management wants to make it right, refund my stay! I'll never stay in this location again.
