I have to share my experience of this practice today. The reception staff were extremely helpful on the telephone and when arriving at the surgery the two ladies on the reception desk were very pleasant and a joy to chat with. The GP I saw was brilliant... she had time for me and I left the surgery feeling cared for and at ease.. Thank you all.
I'm only giving 1 star because 0 isn't an option. This doctors surgery is an absolute joke. You can't get through for hours on the phone, you can't get an appointment if you go in, they tell you to go at 8 in the morning but I'm in the middle of doing the school prep and run, you can no longer get an appointment online and when you could, it was 3 weeks later. To top all that off, when you do finally get an appointment for a telephone call, they don't even bother to ring. My son has suffered from Atopic Eczema since he was 5 months old and we have been fighting the last 2 and a half years to get him seen by a dermatologist as the doctors treatment plan wasn't working. We finally get him seen by a dermatologist at the start of this month, he gets put on a treatment plan and it's been fantastic, his skin had finally cleared and he is so much happier in himself. The consultant emailed the doctors to tell them what medication he was prescribed, the diagnosis of Severe Atopic Eczema and that his medication is to be put on repeat.....3 weeks later I have a message from this doctors to say I need to book a phonecall for a medication review with the pharmacist. Booked the phonecall for a week later the soonest they had available. I had my phone with me constantly yesterday and they didn't ring. Now we have no repeat prescription, ran out of medication and now he is flaring back up again and going mad at his skin. Please tell me why, after being seen by a specialist at the top of his field, the doctors need to check that the medication is right, to then not even bothering to call anyway. Something seriously needs to change, it's not fair that because of all this, my 3 year old son has to suffer and be in pain
That’s why I give them one star because there is no 0 star this place are totally time wasting and money wasting my wife is suffered from deep pain for long time they just gave her painkillers they never did any investigation when u make a phone call The answer machine says you are number 30 on line and same time you I went to there no one in the reception on the phone how come in uk we have the very poor surgery they there is no rules in uk any no agents them or what
Wife has been waiting to see a Gp for months when she finally made an appointment and she went to the GP they refused to see her what a joke of a GP i dont even know how this GP really exists i swear we pay taxes for the NHS and end up having to go private in the end!
Mistake after mistake after mistake. That's just me. I wonder how many people have been harmed or worse and financially compromised due to the utter and breathtaking incompetance of these highly paid health workers Doctors. Shameful
I had an appointment with the nurse this morning. Very abrupt no bedside manner when I was asking questions. This is the second nurse I have encountered where there attitude is appalling! They seemed to be stressed. Apparently my injections have to be notified to the surgery so they can stock my medication. So I was unable to have medication. Well why didn't the receptionist and the nurse communicate with each other so I did not have a wasted journey? So now I have to wait until they have my medication in stock and then they will notify me to come in. Receptionist obviously need training and communication isn't good is it?
If there were negative star ratings I'd give them -10. This is the worst practice I have ever seen anywhere in the world. I fully support all the negative opinions given here.
I cannot believe that this GP does not have a call queuing system. My mum put a request in for a repeat prescription and because she requires a review for one of the medications, the request was declined. I have only been informed this by Carlton Street Pharmacy after continually chasing where my mums medications were. Thankfully they have sorted an emergency supply of the other medication. I have called over 400 times in 3 days and the line is constantly engaged....
Worse surgery to try and get hold of anyone. They ask to call first thing in the morning but no answer. In one day I called across 3 telephone numbers they have over 90 times it would just say busy. I decided on three occasions to go into king street surgery, there was no one on the phone so I decided to call and again it was saying busy out the light on their phone flashing. On the third occasion I called the phone and pulled the receptionist on this and showed her the amount of times I had called. She had nothing to say and looked guilty as the phone was still showing busy but no one on the lines. Worst surgery… Dr Butchard was that best and Dr Owen. Now we have a bunch of people who think they have the power just because we clapped for the NHS.
The worst surgery in town. Need to spend hours on the phone to get through, even then no chance to book an appointment, they keep saying "try to call tomorrow morning " or advise to call to 111, or go to emergency if needed.
