Wonderful restaurant and bar, decor was lovely. Location great if you want to drink and party. Our room was OK apart from the cleanliness, shower was all lime scaled and needed a thorough clean. The room had electric sockets which were slightly loose on the wall. Was very disappointed as paid £77 for a boutique experience but got very shabby chic instead.
What a great little find! It is not a 5 star hotel but you wouldn't notice. The service was impeccable and couldn't fault a thing. Room was tidy and clean and plenty of tea and coffee etc. Breakfast was needed and delicious and plenty of it. Bonus of 2-41 cocktails the night before too. Will definitely be staying again when in the area
Only stayed the one night and didn't try the restaurant for an evening meal. Stayed in a loft room which although appears recently decorated had a strong unsettling smell of damp and the room couldn't be locked from the outside meaning anyone could enter when I wasn't there, an alternative room was offered but the single twin beds looked very small. Bed and linen was clean and comfortable. Complimentary ear plugs were a concern on arrival but the only real issue with sleeping was the rather bright emergency exit light effectively above my head. Breakfast was fine with a decent selection of cooked meals. Not going to be on the top of my list for a return visit.
So noisy from bars across the road was 1.30 before it quietened down. Room needs some TLC and a deep clean. Too many stairs to our room for my bad back.. No coat hangers and one coffee cup for two people. Went down for breakfast waited 45 mins. Not the best start to our holiday
A good independent hotel, essentially all you need in one place a good bar serving good beer and apparently cocktails, then good evening food with decent bedrooms for the sleeping bit. Then an excellent breakfast to set you up the following morning. Stayed a few times with work and will definitely stay again.
Staff is great, rooms have a nice decor and feel to them. Walls are thin and the rooms are above a the cargo local bar. It's busy on a Saturday and can hear all the noise outside from other bars; people chatting on the street and the thumping of music. The place itself is nice just something to keep in mind.
Stayed at this hotel early September - Cannot believe from reading reviews that others are talking about the same hotel. The photographs are misleading and suggest a quality of furniture, room spaciousness and decoration that was not my experience. The whole place was grubby, ensuite antiquated and hot water supply variable, room overheated, stairs narrow and steep, food ordinary and no staff were present overnight. Whilst in a good street was opposite a Salvation Army hostel. I was told that new owners had bought the property since my booking and looking to make changes. As it currently stands the whole place needs a major refurbishment. I definitely would not stay at this hotel again or recommend to others without major improvements having been carried out.
Loved this place. Staff was amazing, going out of their way to help us with everything from vegan meals to taxis. The rooms were clean and well supplied with extras. The breakfast was made to order and delicious. Thank you so much!
Great location. Great staff. Great food and nice but small rooms. Bed was very comfortable and shower excellent! WIFI was poor so not ideal for business however 4g was available. Would benefit from a full size ironing board.
Awesome little hotel and tastiest breakfast we've ever had thank you Chef! Cracking shower and comfy bed. Book the loft room it's gorgeous! Will definitely return x
