One of the best meals we've had in a long time. It isn't cheap but definitely worth it. Food was out of this world and staff were very good. The atmosphere was really good apart from a few noisy tables but not the restaurants fault. Hope to go back again soonFood: 5/5
Incredible setting: with beautiful views of the harbour. Food was amazing and staff attentive. Every dish was delivered with presentation in mind, as you would expect from a place like this. If you like your fish/shellfish, go for the mixed sea food grill. Clams, mussels, bream, bass, mackerel, King prawns. Nom! Would highly recommend for a nice treat.
Delicious seafood and fresh daily catch fish. We ordered a mixed dish grill and crab n cod and they tasted really nice. Staff are friendly and helpful. View over the harbour is also splendid.
This was an outstanding meal, shared with real seafood lovers, and a steak enjoyed by a steak lover. Service was really attentive, menu advice was freely given, atmosphere and views outside were terrific. All in all, would book again, because this was a great experience! Wheelchair accessibility: Looks fine. We didn't have a wheelchair user with us but we are sensitive to what makes a place wheelchair friendly.
Had the 6 course tasting menu. Great service, excellent food. Had a really nice table next to the window. Easy to get to and has parking.
The Jetty is a great place to have a meal and treat your other half or for any fancy occasion. My first time there I was very impressed with the decor, friendly service by Matheus, Alex, Veronica and Sophia. The food is spectacular and very well presented. They have very special plates for seafood and great starters. The views are to the ocean village marina and so very calming ambience and romantic atmosphere. I could not find any faults and will definitely recommend for a night out.
I arranged a surprise 40th birthday lunch for my husband at The Jetty, and being all the way in South Africa, I relied solely on staff at the restaurant executing the surprise on my behalf. This involved: the restaurant receiving the birthday gift a few days in advance and keeping it safe, receiving the cake on the day of the lunch, and presenting both items to my husband after lunch. The customer service has far exceeded my expectations, and a special thank you is due to Paulyn, Klaudia and Barrie, who went out of their way to help me pull this off. I'm truly grateful, this was a wonderful experience.
Visited in October 2020, we were beyond impressed every step of the way. We had 3 courses, wine and dessert. The seabass and turbot were perfection and bursting with flavour. The wine selection was fantastic and the chocolate fondant and chocolate with raspberriy encased in sphere of chocolate was a trully impressive thing. There was no pretentiousness or flaw anywhere to be seen, unlike in other places like my previous French restaurant review which I recommend you read. The service was excellent. We were left in the happiest culinary nirvana, just looking at each other with a 'wow' face. The decor was fantastic. I am really aching to go back, VERY HIGHLY recommended!
The food isn't bad, but based on the prices and the menu you could tell that this is a restaurant that is trying to be quite special and inventive, and I'm afraid it's just not worked. We had the seafood soup, where the broth was not very good. The cockle popcorn was delicious, can't fault that whatsoever. We then had two linguine, one monkfish and one lobster. Both were too big and too greasy, and the lobster oil did not really work. The lobster linguine in particular did not even have much lobster at all, which was a little disappointing considering its price. Overall, food isn't unpleasant but extremely overpriced for what it is.
What a fabulous experience. We were given a voucher, by our Son and daughter-in-law, for the Dining Experience with Alex. We were treated to a demonstration of how to prepare the 3 courses we would be eating, by Alex, who was very entertaining and informative. The food was spectacular. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. They engaged with us each time they came to our table, which was lovely. After the meal, Alex came to each table to chat, it felt like he was an old friend, he was so relaxed and natural. We'll worth booking for that special experience. Vegetarian options: Not really an option as it is a set menu on the day you arrive. Parking: Parking is to the side of the hotel, limited spaces but plenty more all around the close vacinity. Wheelchair accessibility: There is parking at the front of the hotel and everything is on one level. Dietary restrictions: My husband can't eat tomatoes or dairy and his food was adjusted to cater for his needs. Very impressed.
