This has gotta be one of the best places that serve Afternoon Tea which I’d been to. I had the Vegetarian one. In my opinion the price is just right for the portions. I loved every single finger sized sandwiches. The egg in a mini brioche bun was scrumptious. The scone was served warm and it tasted perfectly buttery! The desserts were as delicious as they looked! The tea selection was formidable, so many varieties for you to choose from. You can choose 1. All in all I highly recommend this nice Tea Room. I advise a reservation beforehand and also please don’t do a no-show on them when you’d reserve a table unless you call to cancel :
Saw an article recommending Candella Tea Room as one of the best places for scones in London, so I gave it a try with a friend who loves scones! We were not disappointed at all! When many places only serve cold scones, Candella serves them warm, crunchy on the outside and soft inside. I honestly didn’t expect to finish the two scones… but I just couldn’t stop. The servers were nice, and the decor of the tea room is lovely, the utensils tea cup, saucer and tea pot were all so pretty. And the size of the tea pot is huge. Would definitely return, and I have already recommended this lovely tea room to all my friends.
Such a lovely place for afternoon tea. I really wanted to experience afternoon tea in London and many places were just absurdly expensive. Candella tea room was reasonably priced and didn’t charge it per person. We 4 ppl ordered 2 afternoon tea and two separate dishes. Scone was divine and sandwiches were delicious and fresh. Desserts were a bit too sweet to my taste, but everything else was satisfying. It’s a quite small place, so I highly recommend to make a reservation. People there were all kind and accommodating!
Very nice experience. The girl who was serving was so kind and knowledgeable about teas I’m foreigner and no expert in teas, she gave me good suggestion. The atmosphere in the tea room is romantic and kinda cozy. I felt really nice. It’s dreamy and sunny there. I would definitely recommend. Everything was delicious and tea was so tasty and good. I would definitely recommend.
We had a great time here. We went for afternoon tea and we got a platter of sandwiches and desserts. The desserts were the best part. The cheesecake was so delicate and soft. It was a little pricey but worth going once. The finger sandwiches needed some salt, hence the 4 star review. The tea was also excellent. Great subtle flavors.
My all time favourite afternoon tea place in High Street Kensington area! Very popular and difficult to get a table due to the tiny size of the tea room. Glad this place is a proper tea room and offering good selections of loose leave teas! Lovely, fresh scones to have cream tea too.Food: 5/5
They don’t take reservations for the outdoor tables so you can drop by and if a table is available you can be seated there without reservation. Otherwise there is a reservation online but not for one person. The tables are small but comfortable it’s nice to watch people walking by on the street. Be aware of the weather. The scones with clotted cream and jam are warm and delicious. The tea was not so great. I got the lady gray and it was lukewarm and hard to pour out of the tea pot. I would suggest a regular English breakfast tea with milk and sugar. The bathroom is clean
100% recommend. If you want a guaranteed spot, I would make a reservation. This is such a nice place to relax and have tea with a friend. Or, go by yourself and get a spot outside and read a book while enjoying delicious tea. The scones are SOO good. The tea variety is also very nice.
I had a wonderful time in this tea room on Saturday afternoon I walked in there without reservation at 3pm and they gave me a table even they had a reservation at 3:30 m. And they didn't even hinted for us to leave after 3:30 so I enjoyed the tea peacefully. I had lavender earl grey tea with scones which was so deep in taste, really great. There aren't many tables inside so recommend you make a reservation before your visit! But definitely worth visiting with a booking in advance. Lovely and kind staffs, cozy interior, and scones literally made my day.
my absolute favorite place to have tea in London! the place itself is very quaint and cute, the tea selection is extensive, the cakes and sandwiches are delicious, and the scones + cream + jam are quite simply the best things I've ever had.
