Stayed here with the rest of of my family earlier this month whilst attending a funeral. The manager and staff could not been more helpful and friendly They made a very sad occasion much more bearable. The food was excellent and the portions generous. Thank you from the Hyslop family. Graeme.

A massive thank you to all the staff at the Caledonian Hotel for making our wedding on 30th September such a special day. Everyone went out of their way to ensure it all ran smoothly, the food was first class, the function room perfect, the bedroom comfortable, spotless and large. I left everything to the last minute (as usual!) But their help, support and hard work made everything go smoothly without a hitch, even down to sorting out the music before and after the ceremony. And.....that wee cup of coffee at the end of the night.....class. Thank you so much once again, I would recommend you to anyone.

Friendly staff, spotlessly clean, great food, reasonable prices. The renovations carried out by the new owners are great. Our go to place for a meal.

Just had my surprise 50th birthday meal at the Caledonian. Amongst lots of Christmas parties and works nights out. The meal we had for the chefs being so busy was outstanding. Thanks once again to Bruce and staff for a fantastic meal and service

Went to check it out as we heard good things. Price of beer.. acceptable, food... excellent, price of food.. very reasonable, waiter service.. very good. Must be one of the top places in Dumfries! Very impressed.
