I love this place! It is very cozy inside and has nice view on the lake. When weather is good you can sit outside. Friendly personal provides good service. And in addition to it food is very tasty! I like to have lunch here.

The restaurant had a great ambience and the waiting staff friendly and attentive, however very disappointed with the quality of food. Yes it’s a ‘fast food restaurant’ but it takes two minutes to dress a salad. Presentation was poor. The risotto was dry and was not risotto rice that I have ever seen. We sent the Sirloin steak back dry and charred - the dog would have had trouble tearing into it. If a chef doesn’t know his medium rare to well done he shouldn’t have the job. Some might find it acceptable but I like to feel I have received value for my hard earned cash. This occasion was not one of them. Very disappointed.

The Caldecott promises much but has not quite got there yet. The venue is wonderful - set in the bottom of an old windmill - it has great atmosphere The two places we were let down were - Our meals came out cold (promptly replaced... but the impact of starting a meal and then having to send it back can never be changed) - The waitress couldn't wait to get us out when we left at around 10pm - we were moving, but she just couldn't wait to get past us to get the last remaining items on the table I get the distinct impression that things are getting better and that the restaurant as a whole is trying hard - keep it up, and I'm sure a 5* will come in the future

Stopped in the Premier Inn attached to the Caldecotte Pub for two nights, probably the best one I've stopped in. We ate in the Caldecotte both nights, the food was good and the staff wonderful and eager to help. My only slight criticism is that would have liked vegetables with the steak instead of the onion loaf. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Went for dinner with my partner and had a brilliant experience! The service was lovely and I'm defiantly going back! Would defiantly recommend this place, thank you for making my night. Even though it was the first time going there the staff treated us like we have been going there for years and shared us cocktails and shots we had never heard of :)
