Had lunch at the Cafe Gondola Staines.  The staff there are so welcoming and friendly. I had the Spaghetti Bolognese which was delicious and I say that very rarely whenever I have Spaghetti Bolognese. I will definitely be eating there again.

I don't normally like Italian in the UK but this was excellent. I had the best piece of salmon I have ever tried, the Pollo pasta was excellent as was the chicken nuggets made from a piece of chicken breast and freshly made batter from my 2YO. Will come back for sure. Service excellent Eastern European lasses service your every need and the kitchen was clean. Everything was fresh. 10/10
Excellent service, good food, reasonable wine. Some of the food is a bit pricey but It's very consistent in its quality. Several types of wine are available by the glass - which is always a bonus because you can have a couple of good glasses without the expense of buying a whole bottle. But the service really is good. Very accommodating. Friendly but not pushy, efficient but not fast-food! I go there regularly and there's a reason for this.
As a family 2 adults & 2 pre-teen kids we've been going to this restaurant for several years once a month or so. Never had a bad meal - quite the opposite, that's why we always go back. The staff are wonderful & we can't recommend the Gondola enough. We always go on a Saturday around 5 o'clock and it's not too busy but, be aware, you'll have to book for later in the evening as it's so popular.
Our favourite restaurant in our home town. They never fail to deliver a decent meal and they offer good value for money when compared to the other 'chain' Italian restaurants. If you enjoy Italian food and you haven't tried Caffe Gondola yet, then we would recommend them. They serve the usual pizzas and pastas that you might expect but also offer a 'specials' menu if you'd like to try something different.
Locate on the high street of Staines but some upgrade on the outside is recommended to dress up the place so it stands out a bit as there are other restaurants around so closely, so brighter lights and modern decor on the outside will bright up the place and fight out the competitions. Serving staff although attentive, but only one person serving the entire restaurant, when we arrive, somehow the lady in plain clothes suddenly change to serving staff clothes in the middle of the shift which now made two serving staff, so weird ! Food - really difficult to rate as the quality so vary. Calamari greasy though crispy . Stuffed mushroom greasy and watery but yet tasty. I ordered a special Florentina with no tomato base and added Italian sausage. The Italian sausage was cured meat and not fresh sausage meat so the pizza was drier than I expected. I can only eat the middle bit of the pizza as the edge was full of bread rather than airily puffed like the real Italian pizza I had in Bologna so I was disappointed. My partner ordered the Calzone, pepperoni was spicy and the edge again was so bready, the taste was good though. Ambience was good, truly Italian music, plenty of familiar locals revisited by the look of it so it looks like some customers do enjoy this place! Finally, cost of food is within reasons and acceptable

Authentic Italian food that my whole family enjoys. Chef Nic is great and the wait staff is really friendly. Whether eating in or taking out, they are always accommodating and welcoming. Chef Nic is always happy to customise your dish if you prefer and the food is evenly balanced and great tasting. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Staines.
