Good food: we had a light lunch with decent club sandwich, full vegetarian breakfast and a salmon and poached eggs on muffin. Eggs very well cooked and all enjoyed. Nice decor. Service wasn't particularly fast as there weren't many in the cafe when we arrived. A small warning to hungry people the menu says 2 muffins but it's actually 1 muffin cut into 2 halves.

The customer service was very poor, feeling very dissapointed and concerned for others. I ordered two meals, my daughter and i were super excited however my daughter alerted me when she saw pink/bloody chicken and no yorkshire pud. I told the waiter who took the meal away, it went back in the oven. Whilst thats happening Im eating and daughter age 9 is sitting watching.The plate came back, veg overcooked spoilt! I asked for some money off the bill the waiter said he could not do that and there was no one in charge, no manager avail.he gave me the managers contact and I have raised my issues. I am waiting for a reply, its concerning that undercooked chicken is given to a minor. She was distressed by the whole experience, worried about the undercooked chicken and the waiter was unable to do anything to improve matters,no one in charge etc. We will not return.

My mother has just bought two Chicken Salad Sandwiches from this Cafe .... omg I had to phone the shop to see if she had been overcharged... £5.75 each ... brown thin cheap bread.... tiny bit of lettuce ... no salt pepper mayo... which prob would of been extra!!! I will never go to this Cafe again and if you want a decent sandwich DONT GO..... awful .... Shame I can’t post a pic of it!!

Absolutely rubbish food and service today at lunchtime. Jacket potato rock hard, beans cold. Staff unfriendly, took away to heat up, took ages and when it arrived back the potato was still hard. Very disappointed, very unfriendly, I'd never go back.

It's embarassing how rude the Lebanese manager can be. The place should be full. We walk past it nearly every evening and Nino's Italian Trattoria, next door, is full to bursting, with happy customers obviously enjoying their dining experience. By contrast Cafe St Louis is empty, bare, cold looking, sad and lonely. When will he get the message? He's so inexcusably arrogant and unfriendly. He will never be able to see that he is the reason the place has flopped.
