The lady who mans the café also bakes the cakes and her baking is fantastic. 

I eat far too much cake and can safely say that her coffee cake is one of the best I've ever had. Not dry, full of flavour, excellent butter cream. 

The cream tea was also worth every penny. 

Highly recommended for a genuine slice of good country baking (especially on a sunny day).

A lovely tea room. I usually get there quite early for a coffee but I can imagine it would get very busy later on and the meals and cakes look delicious. There are about 5 or 6 tables inside and the same number outside. I believe it closes for the whole of January so might be worth checking if you're aiming to visit then.
