Good food reasonably priced. Great for groups. Sells ales and lagers and beers. Has a decent wine list. Has bedrooms attached I think about 30 - 40. There is a play area around property. And enough parking. They cater for many different reasons and events. We went on one occasion for a wake as the crematorium is not far away so an ideal place to meet as a group.

A good place for a decent meal out. A bit pricey compared to some other places in Thatcham, but you do get good food and service. The bar area can get pretty busy at peak times and they get large bookings too, so finding a table if you’ve not booked can be a challenge. In the summer there are a few tables out front plus an area to the side too.

Good place to eat, have a pretty good gluten free menu, I particularly like the curry. Nice place to get my Dad (93) out to in the rare times he venturesout. He enjoys it also and says the service is good compared to some other pubs in the area.

Food fine. Went at lunchtime and noticed NO-ONE was given a lunch menu (lower prices) unless they asked, everyone quite confused by this. Also tried to charge more for a soft drink than a pint of beer. So food is good but trying too hard to increase revenues.

Visited today on the off chance of a table, plesantly surprised to be immediately offered one. My partner is gluten and dairy free and the waitress checked with us on a number of elements to the dish that was ordered. Unfortunately, the staff in the kitchen were less diligent. The waitress arrived at our table and before even setting the plate down realised there was cheese on my partner's dish which should have been left out and so that was returned to the kitchen and remade. They had also given me the wrong burger meal, when I brought this to the attention of the wait staff they were very apologetic. I happily ate the meal given, a burger is a burger after all, I just wanted to be charged for the correct dish, as the one provided was cheaper than the one ordered. Both dishes we ate were however delicious, satisfying and well portioned. The waiting staff made an adjustment to the bill to compensate for the errors which was most welcome and very appreciated. I would definitely return here as I have done many times in the past, though they were less eventful. This time I feel the wait staff went above and beyond, even if they were a little let down by the kitchen.
