The food is pretty good, especially the desserts. The turkey is very moist and the crumpet starter is amazing. The staff are friendly but they appear tired and over-worked, misreading what we ordered back to us and slow service. Nice cosy vibes but just expected more. It was the Christmas menu, could have done with Christmas crackers and decorations too. Overall good.
We attended for our work Christmas meal all 18 of us. The whole event from initial booking to the evening itself was handled with great professionalism and the team were amazing. The food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to Joshua for the initial communication at the start and James on the night for coordinating everything so well. We would recommend this establishment to anyone for either a small intimate booking to a large company gathering. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Came out for my wife's birthday meal, service is friendly and sophisticated, thank you to Monica and Deb for your excellent service , and the food was amazing, I had the Hallabut, was cooked to perfection. Would recommend to anyone wanting to try something different in a pub lunch or dinner
Very clean and modern rooms. My only gripe was that the second week, I was in a twin room with single beds, not a double, which was not asked for by my employer, so I shouldn't really complain too much.nBreakfast had a good continental selection and cooked breakfast also had a varied selection which the staff were more than happy to tweak to your requirements.nI would definitely stay there again and also recommend to friends and family.
Had a lovely meal with the kids. Our waiter Charlie was extremely friendly and accommodating, his service was impeccable!! Food was good, highly recommend the mixed grill. Family friendly however not too many young people. Overall pleased. Thank you!
