Good parking, brilliant look into the past by simply walking around the various original rooms which are filled with a whole variety of pottery ware. You can pay for a heritage guided tour which I may do next time around. A cafe serves drinks and the local speciality of lobby, a delicious bowl of hot vegetables and meat. My mother's was the best of course. Smaller independ shops are located in the same group of buildings. I've got my eye on several Christmas presents for purchase the next time I visit.
Breakfast was fabulous, really fresh and tasty. Picked up a couple of bargains to go with my ever growing pink dinner.
This place is definitely a place you have to visit if you are doing a potteries shop tour, they sell all sorts of beautiful crockery, infact it’s that good that all the profit I made from working the Christmas market there, I spent on the Ralph Lauren range…
I was a great admirer of Burleigh Pottery, unfortunately their customer service is not up to the beauty of their patterns. On february 2021 I made an order on their website. The order was arrived on May 2021, but 2 trays arrived broken. The items were unfortunately very bad packed. In June they sent me the subsitution, but was only 1 tray on 2, and sadly the pattern was wrong. In July they had not fixed yet the problem, and I also received an email where they told me that I was not supposed to receive nothing more. After several emails, in August, I finally received 1 right tray on 2. After other several emails, they stopped responding and they never sent me back the tray that was arrived broken. So I started to ask a refund, they promised me to refund the tray that arrived broken and never replaced, but after several other emails this was never done. But lucky for me I had payed with PayPal. I asked the refund of £ 29.99 explaining the situation and PayPal accepted and sent the refund to me. This was the worst purchase experience of my life. The wasted time and the way they tried to don't fix a problem of very little pounds it has been embarassing. I keep a very sad feeling and I stopped to buy Burleight.
Very nice items, but still expensive but also very well worth the price when you consider they are hand made
I loved having the opportunity to wander around the Burleigh factory shop. I'm collecting the Blue Regal Peacock pattern so was able to add to my collection at less than retail. Dogs are also welcome inside. Upstairs is a historical showcase section.
Great factory shop to get some brilliant seconds and firsts of local Staffordshire pottery.
In Canada, the link bypasses Burleigh and instead jumps to Denby online. Why? I have been collecting Burleigh for many years and now to be mistreated like this! A shocking abuse of loyal customers meted out by an uncaring company. The one star is required by Google but I would rather post no stars... Update: Without any apology the link has been mysteriously put right.
It was sad that the pottery was closed temporarily due to Coivid 19 but was so happy to look around a shop. So lovely. The staff were very cautious.
Very interesting place to visit dog friendly too friendly and helpful staff there is a lovely cafe good food and free parking
