Really enjoyed this place, the staff were really friendly and polite the food was cooked rather fast and it tasted great. Loved the play area for my little boy too, kept him very entertained and he was so excited about being able to see the donkeys/ ponies in the fields a few yards away from where we sat.
We were taken here by our friends who are local for the first time 2 weeks ago. Proper country pub with a serious passion for home "grub". We took our 2 dogs and we were sat in the snug with a roaring fire, which was lovely. The staff were fantastic and attentive. The food was great, well presented and plentiful. I'm sure we will be back over this way again and hopefully experience a sunny day Sat outside. Loved it.
Been there twice and twice I’ve had the pie of the day… best pie ever! Staff is smiling, efficient and helpful. My son had a burger and looked fantastic, my sister-in-law had “small” burger that looked big to me! And the fire at the bar… cosy.
. A fair review. Went on mother's Day they were running late spent the whole time rushing us to catch up. seated almost half an hour late. For what was meant to be an hour and a half booking. We were just over an hour. After numerous staff telling us we were on a timer numerous times. I explained we were late seating. And they said we know but still kept asking. Just sent different staff members. One member of staff even tapped her watch. Food was reasonable for price. I wouldn't go back but if on a normal day you probably wouldn't have receive the service we did. I would avoid any special occasion unless they extend they time. An hour and a half is not long enough and if they are running late u end up being very rudely rushed.
What can I say. Food was excellent. Generous portions and very tasty. Our only gripe was the fact on a table of 6 two had carvery the rest ordered off the menu. The carvery arrived a good 20 minutes before the menu items. So the two eating carvery ate while the other 4 sat and watched. A little training needed to get all the meals out at the same time.
Good attentive service. Very tasty food at a reasonable price.
I've been here on numerous occasions and found it spot on! I am vegetarian and have always enjoyed the meals. Staff really polite. I would definitely recommend!
Faultless, booked the snug for 15 of us and had a great get-together. Food excellent, all served together, plenty of variety, with a great choice of desserts.
Excellent pub but a disappointing Sunday lunch. Ordered 2 meats and only got turkey. Waited nearly 40 minutes for the food and was Luke warm at best. 6/10
Lovely food. The Sunday carvery is lovely and the staff are friendly too. Definitely recommend visiting here
