From the start hosts were welcoming. Ample car parking. Excellent food and reasonably priced. Dog friendly. Book well in advance as can be very busy. Visited twice in a week stay! Recommend a visit. Will visit again next year
A really lovely quirky little old pub with a good selection of drinks. The current owners have only been in situ a short while and they are currently upgrading the kitchen so food wasn't available but it will be very soon.They will also be having live music nights so I can imagine it being a lovely place to go and I wish them every success. We will definitely visit again when we next come to Cornwall.
Our visit this evening has been brilliant! It was a perfect addition to the lovely day we have had! The food was absolutely beautiful and we really enjoyed it. Not a single complaint from any of our group 5 of us. Reasonable pricing too!! Served by the lovely Pete. Will definitely be returning on our next visit to Cornwall!! 10/10 from me!! : Recommend you book a table in advance as it gets full up very quick!
Absolutely incredible visit to the Bucket of Blood! My first visit and the next time we come to Hayle I will definitely make a return wherever possible. Cost £110 for 5 people for a very nicely portioned, delicious meal as well as 2 drinks each! The pub was clean and tidy. They do struggle a bit for space but once your used to the level off the roof your fine! Outside eating areas also available during the none rainy periods! Would recommend to anyone staying at Rivera Sands, Haven. Due to the horrific options they have on site.
I had not been to The Bucket of Blood for a few years; always a friendly pub with lots of history and great food when visiting on holidays. We visited last week to find new owners but booked a table for the following day anyway. The same pub with the same friendly welcome, the food was superb. The homemade fish pie is a must, and the Eaton mess was a show stopper! The food was a warm hug after eating out in many restaurants in St Ives and wanting something more traditional. Great after a walk on the beach
Highly recommended. We live in Cornwall and visited whilst staying next door at Beachside Holiday Park. It's full of character and the table we reserved was really nice. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful and our food was excellent and great value.
We had a very pleasant evening. Good selection of beers nice food & friendly staff. Ample spaced out seating with a cosy atmosphere & real fire.
Received a very warm welcome to this delightful pub/restaurant, delicious plates of food from an extensive menu and reasonably priced, also has outside seating to enjoy the views. Parking available and booking recommended. Definitely looking forward to a repeat visit
What an absolute gorgeous quaint little place.. Lovely friendly atmosphere. We only nipped in for a pint, but if you want food I would highly recommend booking as it was fully booked for weeks.
