Milestone Garden & Leisure

I am a very traditional gardener. I like garden centres to be focused primarily on horticulture. Walking into this one is like walking into a department store. When I visited last autumn I thought the outdoor plant selection was poor, with a minimal stock. This spring they have re-stocked with a reasonable selection of plants. Prices are moderate for the sector. Plant quality is OK. A limited selection of garden tools, accessories inside and prices are generally highish. A good cafe/restaurant serving teas, coffee, cakes and lunches at moderate prices.

We regularly go to Milestone for lunch at weekends, and can't complain at all. The food is good and staff friendly and helpful. Can't say a bad word about it. It's also a good place to go if you're a gardener... 😂

Not as big as it looks from the outside. Has some lovely things to buy but prepared to pay. Expensive.

Very pleasant, always busy, food and cakes nice, however waited so long at shop checkout for someone to come my friend and I put back our purchases and left.
