Fascinating selection of books. Fiction and Many non fiction including biography, political, travel writing. Huge children's selection. Thoroughly up to date. Big new delivery of books arrived as we were leaving. 
Cafe has SLOW table-only service; well over 5 minutes wait and it wasn't busy. The couple after us even had to go up to the counter to ask to be served!

If you're interested in the written word....great place. Very helpful staff.  I love the food and the layout. Very calm and light.

Delightful. .....lovely food and drinks. Amazing selection of books and cards given the location in a small Borders village. Congratulations to the owners!
