We visited the cafe upstairs. Staff are very accommodating and the food is really tasty. I asked if the all day vegetarian breakfast could be modified to be vegan. The gentleman serving us very quickly had the ingredients list out for the veggie sausages, which are vegan as they do not contain egg or milk. I asked for no fried egg, and got an extra sausage :). The fried tomatoes are cooked with oil rather than butter. Excellent meal. Thank you very much :)

I have fond memories of Bryson's from my childhood so relished the chance for my wife and daughter to sample some delights for the first time. It didn't work out. Incredibly weird experience on Saturday the 7th of April - entered the shop with my family with the intention of buying some cakes, buns etc to take away with us. When we arrived at the counter a gentleman was chatting to the chap behind the counter. The conversation appeared to be about where the member of staff was from originally. We waited for a couple of minutes while they chatted and then the member of staff disappeared. He returned with a piece of paper so he could write down the name of his home town as the gent (who clearly wasn't buying anything by this point) couldn't understand his accent. After standing there, completely ignored, for around 5 minutes we left. They were still chatting. In 40+ years I've never experienced anything like it, it was bemusing to the point we were beyond the point of saying anything. To say "excuse me" would have been weird, he saw us, he knew we needed serving... Yet he opted not to in favour of a chat. Weird.

Enjoyed a lovely all day breakfast here. Great food. No issues whatsoever. Recommended for adults and children alike. Our little girl thoroughly enjoyed her chicken nuggets, chips and beans. A fairly extensive menu for a relative small cafe. Great bakery downstairs too.

Looks nice but better in the area. I was amazed to read it's been here so long as the floor manager who was quite surly to customers requirements made you feel unwelcone. Had I not been with the kids I would have left at this point. Food just about above poor quality , we all had different choices of sandwiches.i ordered chips that were forgotten until I requested their presence.The coffee (latte) was so poor I sent it straight back . I was not offered a replacement nor was it deducted off the bill until I questioned it. Chips were excellent hense the 2 stars. Avoid in my opinion as overpriced , unfriendly and below average food.
