The Alpine combines the very best elements of a traditional cafe. Good wholesome food, served promptly and professionally by the friendly team. The prices are among the most reasonable in the area. A real gem!!!!

Update to owner's reply 13 April 2018: It happened on the 5th April 2018, time of transaction was 14:03. Can you provide me your email address, so we can resolve this issue privately? We were wrongfully charged £1.20 for tap water as according to the Licensing Act 2003 (Mandatory Licensing Conditions Order 2010, all licensed premises that serve alcohol are mandatory to serve tap water free of charge, thus they have violated the act and are essentially cheating their customers. I would like a follow up on this issue within this week or I will be taking legal action!

I use the alpine on a regular basis. Friendly, cheerful staff with good food and pretty much bottomless tea and filter coffee. Overall a great place to refuel yourself. Hope you all enjoy.
