Story

At Brewers Fayre we've thought of everything. Great value, great food, great family friendly atmosphere; we've got the lot. Our menu is packed full of family favourites all freshly prepared by our trained Chefs. Barry Island was newly built in Autumn 2012 & today we are a modern restaurant with a slightly art deco feel. Overlooking the waterfront, we are just a short walk from Barry Island Beach, the steam railway & Barry Island Pleasure Park, & not far from Cardiff Airport & Porthkerry Park. Our tasty pub food, served up in generous portions by our friendly team, is great value & worth coming back for time & time again!

Nice clean open area. We went there for lunch on a Tuesday. Arrived at 12.45. There was only 1 person behind the bar. Very pleasant and polite but unhurried. We ordered lunch. It didn't take very long, enough time to have a drink and chat. The food we ordered looked very appertising on the plate ans tasted lovely. If in the area again, I'm sure we'd go back.

I had a salmon and prawn pasta dish which was really delicious. The only drawback was that there wasn't enough of it. The sundae I had for dessert was great too; a salted caramel and chocolate ice cream combo with bits of chocolate brownie and topped with toffee popcorn and cream. The staff were excellent and attentive, obviously being a Brewer's Fayre, the prices were more than reasonable too. It was a nice comfortable setting where you'd feel perfectly comfortable bringing kids too.

It is a lovely clean place to go to. There are plenty of seating area's and you are not all on top of each other either. Plenty of room and comfortable seating. They have a great outside seating area , smokers area and all looking out onto the docks. I have had some good meals here and some disappointed ones too. Which is normal for most places that serve meals. I find is slightly over priced and basically the same thing you get at every Brewers fayre

Off the shelf catering but had a nice lunch here. The only dislike is the atmosphere and decor. Huge open main dining room. I choose one of the smaller side ones if I can. Good if you are with children and fair pricing. Make sure you put you car registration in the machine and don't overstay the time allowed.
