We are a family run French restaurant in the Pontcanna area of Cardiff. We are open 5 days a week. AA Welsh restaurant 2014 2015, awarded 2 AA rosettes

Story

We use seasonal produce from Welsh providers & have a complementary list of French wines unique in Cardiff. Bully’s is a great place to eat, combining an intriguing atmosphere with excellent, interesting food. The mission is not only to have great tasting food, but have efficient and friendly service because customer satisfaction is paramount.
We combine menu variety, atmosphere, ambiance, special theme nights and a friendly staff to create a sense of 'place' in order to reach our goal of overall value in the dining/entertainment experience.

The food 3.5. Service 5. The food at times was less flavorful than you’d expect from the appearance of the dish. For Cardiff, I’m not sure you’ll find better, but compared to a major city, I was underwhelmed with the food. The food also felt really heavy - I don’t usually feel heavy after French food. But I suppose this is a British French fusion. I’d probably return here if I was in the neighborhood, but I would be careful on what I’m ordering. (I didn’t like any of the appetizers and I tried all 4). The place itself is really cozy and unique!

wales 99 7455 Reviewed 18 November 2017 Friendly, fun and finesse We reserved the restaurant in its entirety for a private event. Everyone had a fabulous time. They accomodated all requirements; arranged the room beautifully; and were meticulous in every aspect. The food was truly excellent, and was uniformly of the very highest quality. 42 fillets of beef were cooked to perfection; served at the same time, and all food was both seasonal, local, and beautifully presented. All the courses complemented each other, and were served at a comfortable pace by a team who were so welcoming, friendly, and engaging. All in all, faultless, and memorable.

We've had all starters and main dishes. Only salmon appetizer and mackerel main dish are very delicious. The rest is just okay. Would only come back for their fish.
