The receptionist at the physio/connect health department was a lovely friendly lady who spoke to all the patients attending appointments as if she knew them. She had a warm smile on her face and cared about everyone around her, despite the fire alarm which kept ringing! I can't thank her enough for making the wait a pleasant one!
I am planning to file a lawsuit against Mayflower Healthcare Alliance for infecting me with Pseudomonas at Brentwood Community Hospital during a standard cystoscopy investigation. The cystoscope wasn't disinfected properly or was likely damaged which resulted in me contracting pseudamonas. I have had 11 rounds of Ciprofloxacin as well as courses of other antibiotics such as Doxycycline, Cefalexin, Co-amoxiclav, Nitrofuratoin, and Trimethroprim . None have worked so far to clear the infection. I have had multiple hospital visits 3 kidney infections and one admission to hospital with a kidney infection from the superbug I contracted - pseudamonas. Mayflower Healthcare Alliance an NHS privatised company discharged me despite knowing I still ws suffering with a pseudamonas infection caused by them. On the day of the procedure I was rushed in and out of the surgery/procedure room within 10 minutes and had ZERO aftercare. I was unable to urinate for around 12 hours afterwards and was subsequently admitted to Southend Hospital with a pseudamonas UTI caused by the cystoscopy. I have paid out over £500 in private urology fees but am unable to afford private treatment that was recommended bladder instillations of antibiotics plus gentimicin and Piperacillin IV because it will cost me over £1600 which is something I cannot afford. I have damage to my hearing permanently caused by the 10 rounds of Ciprofloxacin I have had to have since September 2022. Every course of antibiotics I have had has failed. I am seeing an NHS Urologist on 27th March and am hoping I should finally recieve the treatment I've needed for so long IV gentimicin and Piperacillin. Mayflower Healthcare Alliance did not sterilise their cystoscope properly and for infected me with a superbug multi-strain resistant pseudamonas. I am only 26 and it has ruined my life. I am now at risk of losing my job as I have had so much time off sick with kidney infections and I am in constant pain daily. As previously mentioned I have permanent damage to my hearing and body from the 10+ rounds of oral antibiotics that have been given to me to try and fight the pseudamonas infection. Do not visit this clinic.
I have tred to write this review 3 times, but it disappears! I want to praise the audiologist Catherine and the lst floor receptionist for their kindness, professionalism and consideration for the vulnerable patient whom I brought for an appointment on Friday, March 11th. Thank you so much.
Sharon and the team at the gynaecology department were absolutely lovely. I had my hysteroscopy surgery done and I was panicking looking at all the other videos on youtube with different experiences but the team were so lovely they made me feel at ease from start till the end of the procedure. Thank you :
My sister has special needs and as I live far away I like to speak with her especially as she is in a room on her own and has no visitors. She is frightened and downhearted about her future. Unfortunately when I try to ring her ward no one answers the phone most of the time. On two occasions the phone has been picked up and put straight down to stop it ringing. I personally have never been able to talk to any member of staff for more than a minute. Our family is very distressed by this state of affairs. It's only on the rare occasion we manage to get through after many attempts and we are fearful for my sister's state of health because of being isolated from speaking to family members
If you are a single mother with no chance of getting a baby sitter you cannot take your child with you to a maternal scan of your second child. Stupidest rule i have ever heard of! When asked the lady at reception why this is and how this rule makes sense, her response was " we never had this situation soo...". Great answer to a sensless rule.
Had a pleasant visit to brentwood Community hospital for minor surgery..David Smith and his assistant was fantastic cant thank him and his assistant enough
The staff were so friendly, polite and helpful- from reception, to the nurse who did my bloods quickly and almost painlessly thank you, I barely felt it and it is usually awful for me!, to the wonderful staff in the cafeteria who gave a delicious breakfast after a fasting blood test. Thank you- you are all doing a brilliant job and those little things a smile, a kind word, excellent service, etc make the world of difference to your patients.
Very Freindly and Helpful staff from the minute you walk into the reception. Staff are very professional and efficient. Well planned and safe waiting area that isn't overcrowded. Remember, you MUST book an appointment before arriving at the hospital. You can't just walk in and expect to be seen.
My sister has been in this hospital for the past two days and as I'm 200 miles away the phone is the only means I have of contacting her. It's impossible to get through. Yesterday I tried all day and when I eventually got through in the evening they told me to ring back. This is totally unacceptable and is distressing for my sister as well as me
