Upart from avoiding near death a couple times because of faulty doors from the car park to the entrance and the building falling apart. My son received exceptional care despite long waiting times and their working conditions they were good glued my sons head together. Injury happened at school person caring for him watched it happen.
My review is for the ignorant staff in the canteen. The woman kept placing her hand over the plates and couldn't seem to understand why I wanted a clean one. Then she began giving me attitude without care for my social anxiety and stress. I had to leave and it was the African woman serving.
I've been to A&E today xmas day, I burned my hand badly. I've been seen within a few minutes. Can't thank the consultant, James, enough, he was very efficient, helpful, & very kind. Big thank to the whole team providing it was xmas day and you were there to help !
WORST HOSPITAL 1. Diagnosed me with dehydration and sent me home when I had blood infection with severe low blood pressure. 2. Lost my ECG when pulse was 155 3. Unprofessional rude staff and minimum duration time 6 hours
Went there for dehydration and got put on a drip however only 1 nurse offered us a drink and food, a doctor was also about to reuse a needle he put into the arm once already. Not great but if I'm dying I'll come back.
Been to A&E three times so far this year. The whole process of going through triage, getting blood tests and seeing a doctor is very slow. Each visit has taken between 5-7 hours. However, the doctors and nurses have been fantastic each time I have visited. They have been understanding, helpful and shown real empathy each time despite being very very busy.
Just spent 25 minutes on hold for the xray appointments only to be told that they couldn't take my call and to call back later then cut me off. This is my third attempt to book an xray appointment and they have the cheek to say that if they haven't heard from me in 14 days from the date of the letter they will assume I do not require the appointment and the request will be cancelled. Have they ever tried to book an appointment.
The A&E department is a shambles… Staff are rude and couldn’t care less about patients. Receptionists extremely miserable & unhelpful. Tatty and run down. Unorganised. Checking in system but with no signage to explain this to unwell patients. Half the chairs are broke & looks like it hasn’t been cleaned for years. Spent a few hours here accompanying my Grandad to A&E and left feeling sad after seeing how terrible people are treated here when they are vulnerable and poorly & how little compassion the staff have.
Waited in children’s A&E for over 6 hours. It’s not acceptable to have to wait with a child in pain for so long.
Nurses were absolutely rude and unprofessional, stabbed the needle in my partners arm whilst taking blood, having a private conversation between the two. Another nurse comes in with her lunch and started up another conversation, all not acknowledging that we are there. Spoke to my partner sarcastically and rude about his health. This hospital is our first and last time we will ever come here. Wouldn’t even give 1 star if there was 0!!! This hospital needs to check their nurses if all bad reviews are due to their services, if they do not know how to treat patients properly then maybe they need another job. Absolutely fuming!!!!! I will also write a complaint regarding this disgusting service.
