Lovely family Sunday lunch. Good vegetarian choice, tasty food and good portions. Nice surroundings and very good service
Food and service was excellent, however our seating wasn't great as staff had to squeeze past nudging a seat, this was also the case for customers on the way to the toilet. Parking is a real problem with a number of cars parking in the road and restricting the entrance and exit .
My wife and I went for Sunday lunch with our daughter and son in law. The service was really good and the surroundings very nice. A good range of vegetarian food was available too. Well worth a visit
We was served raw cauliflower which was meant to be cauliflower cheese. We couldn't even put our fork through the meat, it was like trying to cut a brick wall with a plastic knife. Although the service and the starters were great we are still extremely unhappy with our experience. Another problem that we faced was the high prices. We came here many years ago and it was great. If you want a nice Sunday roast do not come here.
Such a find! Very excited to know about this lovely pub. Beautiful old building with beams and lots of character. Friendly staff and the food looked wonderful... this time, I only had a coffee!! Which lovely! Can't wait to go back for a meal and drinks.
Came here for a birthday party with my family. The food is exceptional and the portions are generous. The service is brilliant and the staff give you a warm welcome. Highly recommended
We had a thoroughly enjoyable midweek lunch here with my dad. There were good choices to suit every palate and delicious desserts. Service was good and friendly. Will definitely return soon.
Beautiful lunch views, great roast dinner served very quickly and most importantly great service; kindly cater to menu item swapping with no dramas and a lovely relaxing but not-too-quiet vibe. Felt under pressure hosting my Dad who travelled 200 miles just to have lunch with me/for the day & Boars Head really was perfect - thanks guys! Look forward to coming again :
Visited 13th Feb as a couple. We had the valentines supper, 3 course meal £25. Food / service very good No complaints at all , left feeling very full. Compliments to all , see you again soon
We enjoyed a wonderful lunch today . Food was exemplary and enjoyed every mouthful. Tasty ,hot and delicious. Staff very attentive and professional. Nothing too much trouble and I even got real whipped cream with my dessert lol . Bonus points x
