Went here for the very first time today. My son had came up on a surprise visit for my birthday, so we decided to go out, grab a bite to eat and find somewhere local showing the early rugby match. Wasn't disappointed. My sis and bro-in-law also dropped in while we were there, saw our food, cancelled their later dinner plans and ordered. They were also very happy with what was delivered. Good menu choices that I think everyone can find something they would like. Staff and I guess the landlady - friendly, welcoming and helpful Food - fab Will definitely be going back soon hopefully to try some of the other dishes they offer
Would just like to say what a lovely meal we had at the black horse in Bilton. We popped in for a drink and ended up staying for food. The landlady gave our twins an easter egg each . All staff were very friendly, food was excellent. This will now be our go to pub in Rugby, highly recommended.
Take your pick small bar or large lounge. Both good atmosphere, friendly & helpful staff. Quality ales, well kept, but a bit pricey
Visited last night, great pint and good pub, spoke to the landlady who was very nice along with all the other staff, I had my family with me and we all felt very welcome, I will definitely visit again and the kitchen will open soon, I was shown the menu and spoke to the chef, I’m looking forward to trying the food
Good food and beer, well priced, all in a good atmosphere. I will return.
We didn't eat here but the food coming out of the kitchen looked nice.

Excellent! Invited to have a meal for nephews 18th so not our choice but pleasantly surprised! Food was really nice, all proper home cooked dishes so much nicer than the chains. We will definitely be back. I understand Sunday lunch is not to be missed!
Lovely local village pub - great staff and drinks are reasonably priced! Great atmosphere full of regulars
