Second visit to this open plan designed Wetherspoons. Once again, swift service and a lively atmosphere. Coffee and biscuits £1.95, the usual great value for money.
Just popped in for a quick pre dinner drink. It's a large pub with loads of seating. It was really busy when I visited, but by ordering on the app, my drink came quickly. Felt like a really nice atmosphere in the pub.
Absolutely appalling service with an excuse of a manager who can't even refund a poor attempt of a meal hunters chicken I asked for no bacon still come with it undercooked possibly even microwaved ask at first sight of a waitress if she could please do something about it I was then told because a couple of chips had been eaten and one bite of chicken I was still not aloud a refund or a change of meal what was acceptable most certainly will not be coming and as of the manager who can't do her job properly assistance in training the staff properly and customer friendly is well needed 18/03/23 apparently there not aloud to give me the manager's name so I'll just leave the time and date and state that it was a female highly recommend to avoid this place for food
A fairly standard wethersppons, though a couple of things rank this as one of the worst. The state of the gents toilets, broken cubicles, paper over the floor as well . 2nd the service to be quite honest appealing. Me and my partner order to alcohol free/low alcohol beers and they brought the full 5% versions. We were chatting and didn't notice initially till after a couple of sips. When we did we reported it to a young lad on the till. Who said and I quote "I'm not doing anything you've drunk some" even having shown the receipt and that they had brought the wrong ones he said and I quote" what do you expect me to do about it" he sauntered off and we had to call the manager. Now my partner is a recovering alcoholic and I was driving. The repercussions of the wrong drinks was quite frankly appealing and to be honest, this young lad should be heavily reprimanded and retrained if not fired. An awful experience.
This is wholly for the service. Absolutely shocking. The bar service is beyond a joke. They have 2 bar staff serving whilst 5 or 6 minions run round dropping glasses or cleaning ostensibly behind the bar. Utter contempt is shown to the customers. A 15min wait while there's only 5 customers is a farce. A pox on them.
The food and most importantly the beer is very good value. There's usually a good selection of ales to choose from. The only downside is the acoustics - it's sometimes difficult to hear yourself think on a busy night!
Cheap meal good food fast service it is what it is don't expect fancy we had a dinner for two and a drink each pint of lager and a large wine 19.99 the lot
Been an avid JDW fan for years. Great prices, good food, excellent drink choice and table service is fantastic if you are on your own or have mobility issues
Came here on arriving in rugby, good menu choice, deal includes a drink, pub quite busy, good value for money.
So, overall...it was a clean and nice spoons when i went in. But our waiter was very agressive lmao. Every glass he put down, every dish. I don't know if it was due to busy factor or he was having a bad night or if we happened to be the people that somehow ruined his mood lol. But yeah..for me it was a good spoons but I didn't have a large spectrum of food. Dessert was delicious.
