Just discovered this place for a sunday brunch, probably the best full English breakfast I've had in a long time. The rest of the menu looks absolutely amazing too, I will definitely be back here!Food: 5/5
Place with character. Some sitting areas outside and inside. Lots of paintings, which are for sale too. If you are lucky you can get a table with a view to the waterfront and all boats. We have been served pretty quickly, food have been presented really nicely. Not the cheapest place to go but worth to try and give a go. Very filling. Surely do not need any starters or deserts. Although they had lovely menu for deserts.
We had a lovely meal here last night. I had steak and red wine jus, my husband had the maple and bacon burger. Tastiest food in the area, attentive staff, friendly and welcoming. We were staying 1 night on the Marina and definitely chose wisely where to eat! Great menu, service and atmosphere.Food: 5/5
Absolutely lovely place to stop off for a relaxing lunch.. This was our third visit... Staff are always so helpful and friendly. Food was yummy. House wine actually was really good. Great select menu...yummy. They have set courses or you can choose from the a la carte... We just ordered two glasses of wine, hummus rye bread side and two mains... Excellent Toilets clean and well maintained. Covid procedures excellent... staff still wearing masks, thank you Can't fault. Highly recommended. Thanks guys
This place is just stunning! If you are in Ipswich you need to stop at this lovely Bistro. The view is lovely, if you are lucky enough you will sit next to the window and you will have a lovely meal with the waterfront view. Let’s talk about the main thing: FOOD! What I can say, the best quality you can get in town, they have a fantastic chef as the plate a quite elaborate and it is something you usually can’t find in most of the restaurants. We had a brunch and the quality pf the food was better than other place around. If you love the cheese have a look of the video We didn’t plan to get a dessert, but I did spot on the menu a dessert that did catch us: THE PISTACHIO AND FIG MILLEFEUILLE. Honestly this dessert was an emotional experience, it is a plated dessert with a mix of ingredients that all together were just STUNNING! Plus of this place: they got my favourite dessert wine RECIOTO DELLA VAL POLICELLA. If you love red sweet wine you need to try it Service was lovely, they are really friendly and good attention to details. I love the fact that they have proper napkins not the paper one. Last the prices are really good considering the quality of food and the service. Well done to this Bistro
This is an amazing restaurant, you wouldn't think it was in Ipswich, feels like it should be in London or a major city. The food is excellent, and all made from quality ingredients. Some people may say it's in the pricier side, but I really don't mind the cost for this level of excellence.
Fantastic food and the service was brilliant from Vlad, he instantly made you feel welcome, allowing us to pick our table and having a joke with us. The food was so good, there was nothing I could possibly give constructive feedback on. Can't wait to go back.
Fabulous meal, lovely staff, and service exceptional. Though we were a large group, all the meals came together, food was fabulous. Have always had great service here, and would highly recommend it.
Super cute little find on a recent visit to Ipswich. We had the Rib Eye sharer and oh my days absolutely stunning meat not to mention the delicious sides that came with!Food: 5/5
High expectations that fell super short. On arrival after ensuring we had booked the conservatory we got told the only table available was one right by the front door which was consistently in use due to people waiting for tables and to be seated. We were then told we could wait upstairs in the wine room for a table instead but we would have to check if it was open as it was closed for a private function earlier. We were provided a table in the conservatory which we were told was not available yet nobody had left the restaurant in this time. Beers were labelled at 660ml but we were provided with 330ml and told it was a typo on the menu. On ordering food we were asked to hurry due to the kitchen closing in half an hours time. No allergy requests were asked which my partner has a nut allergy. Whilst waiting for our starters the table behind us was provided with there starter in front of them which was wrong and sent back for it to then placed in front of ourselves. When questioned the managers response was she didn't touch it and deemed this as acceptable. On a fresh starter arriving of scallops and chorizo, I cannot complain about this as was amazing and very tasty. 2 burgers were ordered after much disappointment the ribeye on the bone for 2, shown on the online menu was no longer on it. We were asked how we would like our burgers cooked, either pink or well done. Both of us asked for pink. On delivery of our burger it was well done and when questioned once again, managers response was that's how our chefs cook it and some staff haven't been updated on this fact. On this fact we stated that a well done burger is not what we ordered she just walked away. Unable to finish the burger due to it being dry and lacking in moisture a pink burger would provide, although exceptionally hungry was just shrugged off. We were asked if we wanted dessert menus and when we said no was left for 15 minutes where 2 members of staff at different times removed vinegar and condiments, alongside empty drink bottles of the table with no interaction. On getting the attention of a waitress and asking for the bill it was clear there was no intentions of an apology. People around seemed to off been intently looked after and provided extras and seemed like these people were clearly regulars who are given more attention than others. This was noted by a few others who had entered the restaurant at the same time. We went here with the amazing reviews and what seemed to be good food but apart from the scallops starter the food was sub par for the price and attention to details, customer service and general attitude was down right appalling. It could of been an evening of clear disaster as celebrating a Christmas meal together as a limited time available alone but we were able to laugh it off but no compensation was given or even a apology for the situation. Disappointed, and let down. Will not return.
