Bill's Reading Restaurant

I lived in reading for several years until 2015 and went very often to bill's restaurant. Today, this is still probably the best place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Made with love and very delicious!!! Could not ask for anything better. However, as it is well known you need to be lucky to get a table here. I always loved to sit outside in summer or upstairs. Very cosy and great service! Thanks for many great times!

Had the 3 course set menu for lunch. Mushrooms on toast, gnocchi and pancakes with cinnamon syrup and ice cream. All for £14.95. Watermelon, peach and raspberry juice. All very nice. Mushrooms and the juice were the standouts for me. Very attentive service. We sat upstairs and it was a bit cold. Brrrr.

Good food & service. Could use a touch more of seasoning in my opinion. Generous portions, and very reasonably priced. Attentive servers. Beautiful morning light & ambience. Well decorated and facing picturesque church. Would definitely come again.

Amazing place for brunch, with the most delicious pancakes! If you’re brave enough, go for the 5-stack, and make sure you request more maple syrup (trust me, you’ll need it in the end). You can have some of your food to go if you feel like you can’t finish it all up - the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, so you’ll always have someone at hand to help you with whatever you need.

We had a breakfast on Sat. The facilities not a great shape, paint's peeling off, floor dirty. Long waiting for food. The food itself of poor quality for the money. We ordered: Bill's breakfast - 2 toasts, 2 small eggs, 2 miniature sausages, 2 streaks of bacon, no beans; Pancakes with fruits- too thick and tasted like bread, too dry (minimal syrup) and minimal fruit. This is the last visit to Bill's restaurants.
