Saddens me to give this poor review. We've been going regularly to LSB for 4 years. The locale, atmosphere and service are still very good. Sadly the quality of the food over that time has suffered. Maybe we've picked poorly (quite a number of times), but there was a time where it didn't matter your choice - everything was excellent. Sorry but the quality of the food is simply not good enough for the price you pay.

Great food, menu varies with season and availability, lovely location, but the service can be brilliant or lacking on different occasions. You also can feel hemmed in on certain tables and as you’re going to be paying high end prices this can take the shine off slightly.

Nice place, Nice food, but not big on portions, Poor service- had to ask for drinks menu, when empty had to ask again- had to ask for dessert menu and had to ask again to order. Very frustrating for the prices you should have a better service. There was one girl who did help a lot but she wasn't the girl on our table that's why it 3stars not 2.

With so many eateries in The Oracle I decided to look at their online menus and decided on the London Street Brasserie and WOW how glad we were. The atmosphere as we went in was gently buzzing, the staff really friendly without being OTT and the food... OMG...just devine. My husband had the duck and I had the lamb and it was the best lamb I had ever tasted, and I've gone through a great deal of lamb looking for the perfect dish and this was it. I tried their Ginger and Lemongrass soft drink and again, the taste was spot on and a perfect blend of the two. If you're in Reading then I suggest you give them a try as it's just a wonderful place to go.

WONDERFULL PACKAGE.This is an exceptional local restaurant with great food,a lovely atmosphere,very good value with charming staff.
