The Big Blue Hotel was a surprise. Reviews are often patchy in terms of reliability, but this hotel deserves its excellent rating. The reception is welcoming, as is the staff. The deluxe room, while not as well appointed as a suite, is perfectly suitable. There are little touches that most hotels are cutting down on, such as biscuits, spare pillows, etc. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, and the bathroom nicely decorated. Many rooms also lookout onto the Pleasure Beach's rollercoasters, in the south part of the park. The hotel has its own entrance to the Pleasure Beach too, which is handy and saves a long walk down the mostly abandoned Pleasure Beach promenade. In summary, a quite tacky looking hotel from the outside but a sumptuously elegant hotel within. Highly recommended.

Fabulous hotel. Reception staff were friendly and good source of information very helpful and always smiling. Restaurant staff were the same and they were genuinely lovely people. Room was clean and we got a room in the front as requested. Will definitely return in coming months .

The staff are very professional a young man was in charge and has been very well trained. The staff were very friendly. Food was amazing we had a goats cheese souffle and wild mushroom tart followed by 2 cod with a chorizo crust. I've never been before. would recommend a visit.

Great place to stay. We could not fault anything here. This hotel is perfection. We even had a free upgrade plus we asked to stay one more night at a very resonable price. Rooms cleaned daily. Worth every penny. 😇 thank you big blue .

Stayed at this hotel many times with my partner and never ceases to impress. Staff are excellent and friendly and free room upgrades are sometimes available. I love this place! Very clean. Food and drink are reasonable. Rooms are modern and spotless and views of Pleasure Beach are AWESOME. Well done Big Blue 👍😉😍
