We were a little sceptical when we booked this hotel which came with day passes to the Pleasure Beach at a cracking price. We needn’t have worried this hotel is outstanding. The reception area is bright and smells lovely with apples on the low coffee tables and mints on the desk. Our rooms were ready at noon which was amazing and gave us plenty of time on the Pleasure Beach. The rooms are excellent with a lovely, comfortable super king bed, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits, plenty of storage and the usual bathroom amenities. We overlooked the theme park. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean both in the rooms and the communal areas.nWe were going to eat out in the evening but decided to eat at the hotel as it was raining heavily. We set off the à la carte menu and the meals were superb - I can highly recommend the steak which was cooked to perfection. We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Blackpool and will return in future.
We have just finished our three night stay at the Big Blue hotel. We've had a great time! The cleaning is to a very high standard. I would like to give a shout out to David and Shannon in the bar who were helpful and friendly.nnOne unique feature of the hotel that I liked is that our room window overlooked the Pleasure Beach. It was charming to sit there with a coffee watching the rollercoasters.nnEven before finishing our stay, we have agreed to stay here again
We stayed here for two nights this weekend whilst visiting pleasure beach and overall it was decent.nnPositives:nnRight on site for pleasure beach and even has its own entrance. If you’re lucky, like we were, your room backs onto the park and you can see the rides, the kids loved this! The staff were terrific, all friendly and happy to help. The hotel was pretty clean, had parking £10 per day and is clearly set up for people at the theme park. We had 5 in our room and we usually tend to get 2 rooms, but this one was fine. Bunk beds are almost separate from the main room which helps to make it feel bigger.nnNegatives:nnWhen we showered the bath filled up so was obviously blocked, which was horrible! The pillows were awful and we didn’t sleep too well. Breakfast was really poor, £18 for adults and £9.50 for kids which is insane, and for that price I was expecting it to be brilliant. It was somewhere between an IKEA and Premier Inn in terms of quality but far more expensive. Buffett style, not much variation and average food, probably the most disappointing bit of the stay, a real let down.nnOverall it was decent though and we’d stay again if we ever come back.
Lovely hotel in a great spot. Second to last stop on the tram line. The food at the hotel was excellent on both nights. The only down side it is right next to the pleasure beach amusements. It was okay when we stayed as it wasn't open, so was quiet.nnWe also had to leave before breakfast as we had to dash back to Kent for a funeral. The hotel were kind enough to let us have a breakfast on the go package. That helped a great deal as we had a 5.5 hour trip.nnI would definitely stay again.
We booked in for a 2 night stay with very little notice. Very well priced for a 4star attached to the theme park.nnRoom was enormous and beds very comfortable.nnService was immaculate. Nothing was too much. Very welcoming and attentivennFree park tickets was a bonus and having it's own entry was brilliant. Brings you in right next to the Big One!nnAll in all for a random weekend away at very short notice we can not recommend it enough and we will be returning!!
