Story

The Rowbarge, has been serving the needs of travellers and locals alike for hundreds of years, but we re-opened the doors after a comprehensive refurbishment in 2012. The pub has been through a number of incarnations over the last 25 years, but it feels now like it has come back to its roots as a truly characterful traditional pub.

There are six different rooms with nooks and crannies aplenty, six different cask ales on tap, a decent wine list and a shelf crammed with malts. And most important of all, you’ll find a warm welcome from a friendly crew who’ll enjoy looking after you.

The food here is always amazing, we've never had a bad meal. They cater for kids as well and the variety of food is great. The main toilets are upstairs and the staircase is quite steep due to the age of the building but the facilities are always clean and well maintained. There's also a disabled toilet and baby change downstairs that anyone is free to use if they can't manage the stairs. They offer table service for food but you can just go to the bar for drinks as well. Booking is advised as it's a very popular place for food, especially Sunday lunch.

Great location, friendly staff. Loads of ales to choose from and 75 different gins apparently! Food was fantastic, best fish and chips I've had for ages. The risotto was good too. Well worth a visit, a hidden gem. ( Just off A4 @ Woolhampton)

I have been trying to sample this pub for over a year and to my distress, could never find it. Well with the Satnav on, I made it... And I am extremely pleased I did. Lovely blend of old traditional pub, with efficiency and high quality food. Better still, six cask ales on tap and over 70 gins to choose from. This was a winter visit, but the garden (through the window) looks a lovely place to sit if it were warmer. I always try to fault a place on the first visit... The only one was not being able to find it sooner. Great place...

As usual the food was amazing and so were the staff. Superb pub. My favourite! They also have non alcoholic gin which was great!!

Overpriced, not particularly good food. Drinks prices well over the top. Won't go again to ripped.
