Very nice English pub but locals are a bunch of loud mouth drunks who swore all through our meal, when asked to stop until we had finished and left had nothing but sarky remarks back from them even some of the staff thought it was funny. We have visitors from around the world and have taken them to this pub for the experience, but I will never step in it again after our last visit. I feel sorry for the landlord for having to put up with them.

Turned away from the Bull Inn at 1pm on Good Friday as they weren't serving any more food so walked down the road to this place. Nice fire going inside but as it was sunny we sat in the huge garden. After a short wait our meals arrived - substantial and beautifully presented. The fish was fresh and my partner said it was the best fish & chips he's had for years. I had the beef pie which was equally delicious - packed with meat, a lovely thick gravy and really good pastry. Friendly staff and welcoming of dogs. If we're in the area again we'll definitely come back to the Old Boot Inn!

Always had a good time at the Boot. Garden is great and safe for children too.
