Terrible service, overpriced and over cooked food. Very slippery floor which is apparently due to “renovations from a year ago” which is a great excuse for when someone falls over and hurts themselves (like 3 members of our party nearly did including my 86yr old grandmother) won’t be returning.

Poor waitress that's all I can say. She was run off her feet. Hardly any staff to be seen. Her manageress rolled in late and one staff member just didn't seem to turn up. We got food before drinks and I had to ask the waitress to bring me my peas which I ordered as they were nowhere to be seen. I only gave 2 stars cause our food was ok and place was clean. The pencils for the kids colouring menu were blunt. This upset my daughter as she couldn't do the picture. This review is no reflection on our waitress as she was doing her best and was lovely. She was serving too many tables by herself. I'd never return here again.

Service was a bit slow considering it wasn't that busy. They ran out of roast dinners, fillet steak and the mud pie desert. Pretty poor management of stock if you ask me. Went to the Royal Oak beefeater nr Wrotham a few weeks back, they ran out of the mushroom risotto so I imagine the whole franchise runs at minimal stock as a rule. Fast, more professional service here though despite it being very busy. Won't be going back to the Thomas Wyatt, would return to the Royal Oak, go there if your in the middle.

What a long wait we had for our dinner today. It was at least an hour. Food was good however the portions are not enormous. I had steak and thick cut chips all 10 of them. If I had not had a starter then I would probably left the restaurant hungry. 2 in the company had salmon which was a good potion and very well cooked. 1 in the party had lamb rump and none of us could believe the small portion he was served. The lamb consisted of 5 pieces that would have fitted in palm of your hand. That was very disappointing and we all had to share some food with him because of his meager portion. The lamb cost around £14 but actually the portion served was only worth about £8.

We had a ladies do breakfast - excellent food & great value for money. Staff friendly & helpful too.
