Fantastic meal at the Running Horse. Wonderful service- thank you to Hannah and a brilliant welcome from Grant the manager. Thanks for great food. Fantastic service, brilliant refurbishment and all staff polite and helpful. Food was amazing- I'd recommend the newly refurbished Harvester!

Nice, clean and well presented Harvester. We were travelling up from the Eurotunnel and at 1930 on a Friday, thought we'd have to wait a while. In the end, we were seated within 30s. The menu is far less extensive than the ones close to us, but still have a reasonable selection. The toilets are modern and clean (somewhat unusual for this chain lately). Would definitely eat here again.

Very disappointed in the breakfast. The portion of beans was tiny, served in a condiment pot!!The staff were far too overstretched and could not keep up with the demand, items were constantly running out on the free continental buffet (which included bread, toast, crumpets, yogurt and 3 cereals. We came as a party of 18 for a post wedding breakfast, and we were informed this Harvester is the only one currently offering breakfast in this way, the old style buffet breakfast worked so so much better. I'd ask the owners to reconsider this change as I will never return for breakfast again. The new interior is lovely and our server was friendly and informative.

Went yesterday and I had the salmon which tasted like it was deep fried, and tasted really fatty, the sauce was swimming with oil. My husband and son had the 10oz sirloin steak but my sons was half the size of husbands and had such a large slice of fat it would probably only be a 4oz. The portions were really small both in meals and puddings, and we're not really big eaters The sticky toffee pudding came with a small pot of custard which was probably about two teaspoons (and that is literally). I certainly won't be rushing back there, and won't be recommending it to anyone.

This is our local place to eat so for obviously We have visited lots times. Unfortunately the service is super terrible, satff do not care much here. So normally we ask to be sitted at the bar instead. I find serving my self much better and pleasant.
