Hadn't been there since lockdown but it's been refurbished and looks great. Lovely food, girl who served us was lovely. Friendly, helpful and a smile for everyone. Only complaint was that they were out of quite a few items . I e cream, fish etc but understand that happens. Vegetarian options: Ample choices. Parking: Plenty of parking spaces.
Having last had a 'roast' before Christmas it was a very pleasant surprise today to see the restaurant had been refurbished. Looked great. Stacy was looking after my table today and I found her to be extremely friendly, pleasant and pleasant. I look forward to going back again soon Parking: Plenty of parking available
Dropped in for afternoon tea. Staff was absolutely fantastic. Food good atmosphere was good. The energy by staff and how happy they was made me actually think they have a good boss happy staff happy customers. It's the best one I've been too.
Breakfast was excellent and great price always use when stay across the road. A good choice of alcoholic drinks for the evening but not open late so ask before you sort your evening. Staff really friendly and helpful
The food was lukewarm from the carvery, I have never been at this early time before, maybe that was why. The gravy station was depleted, just enough for me! After always praising this restaurant to family and friends my son and I felt a little shortchanged this time
Carvery wasn't busy, yet most of the food was empty. The vegetables were dry and the 1 meat available was fatty and inedible. Been here a few times and never had a problem but my last vist was awful. Waited nearly half an hour to be asked about desserts while staff were sat at tables polishing cutlery. When we did pick our desserts we were told they were out of stock. The bottomless drink machine was also empty, the ones we wanted anyway. Just seemed really disorganised.
We paid for a taxi there and arrived at 8:30pm, the place was empty and extremely quiet but they still turned us away because ‘there’s nothing left’. It’s not supposed to close until 10pm and you won’t make more food an hour and a half before that? They weren’t even polite about it either. Weather was so bad so we had to waste money on a taxi home too. Complete waste of £8 for absolutely nothing. Staff probably wanted to just laze about for the last hour and a half they were supposed to be serving customers. Will be making a proper complaint to the company too. Not acceptable.
Food was great and service. Stacy looked after us exceptionally well. As did the rest of the staff. Will visit again and highly recommend.
I appreciate that it is busy on a weekend and that the door staff need to attend to every customer but we waited in the cold by the door for 10 mins with people in front of us that hadn't booked so maybe a different system each for bookings and drop ins? However it was well worth the wait. The meat was beautifully cooked and cut, the beef dripping roasties are stuff of legends and I absolutely love them. Food was fab and I even had a profiterole dessert. I wanted to die after cos I'd ate so much but that's why I wore leggings hahaha. Love Toby. Would like to shout out our waitress skinny little girl, pretty with a headscarf and plaits she was attentive and really welcoming. Above and beyond I'd say to be honest.
Only one member of staff was actually attentive and helpful and I think he was the manager. There's a lady staff member who is just flat rude to the point of point of do it yourself if you need help or advice Parking: Lots of space as no one goes
