A real Pub full of real people. Great beers selected by Scotty. Been drinking here since the seventies. Fantastic atmosphere created purely by the relationship between customers and staff. Try, you won't be disappointed unless you are eighteen with big lips and an even bigger ego. Highly recommended.
It hasn't changed much since we last drank here in our 20's but that's what's good about the place the friendly atmosphere and the familiar surroundings.Service: 5/5

Hidden Gem in Wavertree. Absolutely love this little boozer. Proper bar at the front to sit at, or a cosy room at the side to relax. Our city was built on pubs like this.

What a wonderful, authentic old pub. The staff and customers are friendly and welcoming, and the location is very olde worlde. They have a selection of top class cask ales. I enjoyed a few Weetwood to while away the time after my train was cancelled, and now I am grateful for the delay. Small pub with a big heart. 2 rooms - vault and snug - and a nice beer garden. It's also just a 2-minute walk away from the birthplace of a Liverpool legend, George Harrison, so Beatles fans can have a quiet nosey.
Great Pub, great atmosphere, good beer. People say it's a bit 'clicky' but that is not a problem as long as you are in the click Seriously though, most of them don't bite, especially the barstaff. Make sure to ask for a top up, they really respect that, they will say something like 'did Ben send you?'. Genuinely my favourite pub
Our local pub on the Lane, good community vibe, reasonable prices and excellent Irish music session on Monday evenings 8-11pm.
