Lovely food in a friendly atmosphere. I would recommend the steak or the crispy chicken sandwich. Check the menu for the special deals. There is also a nice selection of desserts. The staff are friendly and helpful. Service is really good They also have special events for families with entertainment. Outside seats available and a special outdoor Gin Garden when the weather is good. Car parking is more than ample. I returned to this lovely pub a week later and was met with a lovely welcoming lady who sat my friend and I down. She served us with a lovely smile. I opted lasagne on this occasion and my friend went for his favourite steak, cooked the way he liked it. I was really pleased with the service and food quality
First time visiting here today, We both enjoyed our meals here, we received a genuine warm welcome and great service from the team, Older lady made conversation with us and took time out to offer her personal recommendations, Praise to her, will definitely return soon.
A popular local pub & restruant under the Hungry Horse banner, offering cheap eats and drinks. We visited on a Friday early evening, spur of the moment & the place was very busy, with around a 45 minute wait for for food, so probably worth pre booking a table & bearing this in mind ahead if your visit. Food arrived hot & good sized portions, good value aa two burgers for the price of one one a Friday. Off road parking right outside the pub.
Amazing bar staff cheerful, food OK. Clean tidy. Jane,Jill, Cal, Ellie,Mandy list goes on all lovely if your after a good pint this is the place to come.Good all round family pub
Called in on Monday after a funeral, we only planned to have a couple of pints and go. The staff were so friendly, professional, and polite. We ended up staying all day. The service and quality of the food was outstanding and the whisky went down really well. Would just like to say thanks again.
Lovely food and friendly staff, was approached by June who properly looked after us during our meal. Drinks and food were both served perfectly and we really appreciated the kind staff. Would highly recommend and will be returning soon
Sat tea time . Great food and service even though really busy . Food came out 10 mins after ordering it . Tasted lovely . Great value as well . Darcy on the floor was always busy serving and tidying up . Mandy on the bar polite and courteous. The manager Jane was busy but seemed to handle everything with ease . Would highly recommend .
Jill was amazing, so friendly and uplifting in spirit. Very efficient too at her job there. Ian served us up very well the fish n chips and curry. He had a good sense of humour , last but not least June came in as a cameo as I was leaving , with a peaceful smile and great farewell. See for yourself, yours Deano
Had lunch here on 2.1.23, food was lovely. There were quite a few empty tables although they had reserved on. My only gripe and a big one me! One member of our group ordered dessert, when the dessert was brought to our table, the plates had not been cleared. The young lady picked up the plate where she needed to put the dessert and walked away, leaving everyone else’s plates on the table. These plates were still on the table as we left. My star rating is a reflection on this and not the quality of the food.
visited for our tea yesterday evening when passing, the pub was very busy with the england game being shown later in the evening and we had not booked a table however we had a wonderful experience, ellie found us a table and made sure it was clean for us. we were informed there could be a little wait for our meals as they only had one chef working that day, our meals came out quick, fresh and piping hot and were delicious, the waiting on staff were great, very attentive and pleasant. again ellie took our order, throughout our visit she was extremely friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble, we will definitely be returning. credit to all the amazing staff, especially ellie and the lone chef for our delicious meals on such a busy day!
