Amazing old pub featured in Camra’s heritage pubs book - also won Sheffield central pub of the year 2024. Very friendly landlord and obviously well kept beer. Had a mild on too!
Good little pub. My mates and I had a nice little pint here, but the bar staff accused us of stealing glasses! Nice little pub but come on, we were just enjoying a drink in a local pub. Maybe they were having an off day. I'll be back soon, but next time maybe I will take a glass!Service: 3/5
Returned to an old favourite haunt for a party with friends but didn't eat. All as good as I had remembered: excellent range of beers at reasonable prices, friendly upbeat atmosphere, popular with students and others for good reason.Service: 4/5
Argyle "on tour" Wednesday have just beaten us....huge 33k crowd. Walked back to city centre trying to find a pub not rammed!! Found this pub....nearly empty so sat and relaxed with a pint. Within 10 minutes the pub was packed...everyone talking and shouting very loudly !! It's the northern way. Nice pint...Barnsley bitter. Nice little pub. Had to leave....couldn't stick the noise...!! Ps...Landlord responded which is always a bonus....probably a bit harsh....given it a 4 star now....
This is a CAMRA Good Beer Guide regular and is also listed in the Sheffield Heritage pubs. Lovely Thornbridge brewery outlet. Well worth a visit. Had a good pint of Lord Marples.
I’ve been to the bath hotel for about half a year and its quickly became a regular for me and my mates. Guinness there is absolutely phenomenal and I highly recommend getting a few pints. The landlord and staff are friendly and always up for a chat. The pork pie, piccalilli and pickled eggs are superb. Favourite pub full stop.Food: 5/5
A friendly classic Victorian corner pub. Good choice of real ales. Worth seeking out. Enjoy. MService: 5/5
Ace beer, mostly from Sheffield, surrounding area and the north. Friendly staff, lovely building, clean and well maintained. This place has a Maths Jam, a pub quiz and board games, and thankfully no telly.Service: 5/5
This pub is a little off the beaten track but worth the effort to find it if you're looking for a good old fashioned place with good drinks, good atmosphere and staff that enjoy being there. It's not large by any standard with what you would call a lounge and a snug. There's a dart board and lots of board games to encourage a lively competitive night.
Lovely historic pub interior with interesting choice of real ales.
