Proper old school pub, old decor on the walls, filled rolls at the end of the bar. Lovely job.
Very friendly atmosphere and wonderful beer garden. Drink prices are pretty cheap. All in all a great place to visit. The only downside is they not do any food other than rolls and other snack foods you find behind the bar.
Lovely little pub. Looks are deceiving as it just looks like any other pub, but they have a lovely garden with ducks and the staff and locals are all very friendly. Highly recommend.
Proper local boozer...friendly locals...much bigger than it looks...the front bar very 1970....leading to a very odd 1960 interior...and a very modern garden area....which attracts a very different crowd....there are ducks...a pool table...bar billiards and clean nice toilets
The Avon packet like so many pubs in Bristol has a lot of history, this pub has a bear pit in the garden. A good range of beers so sup a pint a d take in the atmosphere
The front of the building seems very unpromising, but the garden out the back is fab. The range of Thatchers ciiders plus traditional Bass bitter. I'll be paying a return visit. Jan 2023. Has it changed? No, I can't imagine it has changed in 50 years. Still absolutely glorious.

Ahhh my fave new local! Friendly staff, pretty garden with little water feature. I've used this pub for evening drinks with friends and swift afternoon pints alone with my book! Really cheap and loved the ducks in the garden! Also the little black cat that visits.
Traditional proper pub and good prices.
