Hands down one of the best roasts in Bristol! Was here just the other Sunday and managed to book a table for myself and some friends. The food was superb and the sides are a must the leeks are *chefs kiss*. You know it’s a great pub if all the seats are full and everyone’s got a big ‘old dinner in front of them… they’ve even got the fire going so you feel like you’re at home! I would recommend ringing to book as spots fill fast but if you’re lucky enough to grab a spot then you’ve struck gold
Excellent local boozer owned by legendary Bristol based artisan brewery Bristol Beer Factory. Excellent range of their beers and other draught beers as well as fridge full of other bottled beers. The Milk Stout was really good. The butternut squash, mac & Triple Cheese was delicious too. Great, fríendly service and good atmosphere in traditional city Public House. It's on the Bristol Bath cycle track. Also a short walking distance from Bristol Temple Meads Train Station.
Always a good atmosphere, and a great selection of ales - mostly from the Beer Factory in Bedminster which owns the pub but also from further afield. Some decent ciders too. On my last visit, I treated myself to some halloumi fries, which were perfectly sliced and wonderfully crispy, and my first ever curry wurst which was absolutely KNOCK OUT! It was my first ever curry wurst and by Job I'll be having it again. The sausage and the sauce were just incredible. There is plenty of seating out the front, and lots more out the back - the courtyard garden is lovely in the summer, with some shade for those who prefer it. Honestly, the Barley Mow is one of my favourite pubs in Bristol. Plus - they have even started showing the rugby Six Nations currently on a massive screen at one end of the pub. There was a really healthy, loud but good-humoured crowd watching the match.
15.50 for roast lamb. Barely any meat and finely chopped veg. Yorkshire wasn't bad, but this place has gone down hill in regards to the Sunday lunch. Another example of a pub that thinks they can charge 15 quid for a very average Sunday lunch.
Nice little traditional British pub wi5h a good selection of beers and food. I highly recommend the Sunday roast. You need to book .Service: 4/5
Nice ales on cask I had the jester and the confit duck cassoulet was the perfect winter warmer. Bristol beer factory owned and operated. Top spotRooms: 5/5
Really tasty veggie roast dinner! The "strudel" and all the veg was delicious. They offer several meat and vegetarian roasts and a vegan option. We had a few different meals between us and all enjoyed :
This pub was like a hidden diamond! Great place to hang out and with nice burgers and a fireplace for the winter! The yard is also amazing during summer time!Service: 5/5
Great Sunday roast and great place. We stayed close to the fireplace and it was just so cozy. Food was amazing and staff very kind and attentive. I have recommended and will be back Thanks!!
Sweet beer selection, and great food. Highly recommend on the way to the train station and just off the end of the cycle path. Great vibe too!!
