Was the first time of having been into the Ask Italian in Norwich. It was a lovely experience. Had a great waitress by the name of Leanne who had a wonderful manner about her. She spoke to us and had a joke. Was extremely efficient and approachable. Great service. Food was excellent too. Will definitely go again. Dietary restrictions: They were very good as about asking if anyone has any allergies. I think that’s a very good thing to do.
Its been awhile since I have eaten at Ask, but decided to return while shopping in Norwich. We were welcomed at the door into a clean, bright friendly atmosphere. Our lovely servers poured us a free shot of lemonade while we looked over the menu. Great cocktails and a good selection of popular wines. Hats off to the barperson who made a mean strawberry daiquiri . We food came quickly, was hot and tasty. My only niggle would be the chicken escalope was not made with fresh chicken and crumbed like in carluccios but you could tell it was highly processed product that is sold as a frozen product. It was not a great texture or taste. The chefs cooked everything well and we really did enjoy it all. Had to rush for a train but would have loved to stay for coffee and a few desserts which I loved on there menu. They even sell mini desserts with your coffee. I will have to wait for next time! Headed here for our meal and we were not disappointed. Great service and fantastic food. Our waiter was fun and joined in with our drunkenness!! Food came out quickly and was nice and hot. Would come back again for sure.
Went for lunch today. Unfortunately. I asked for the gluten free menu, which was provided, it didn't have prices listed, not sure why. Anyway, I selected a gluten free pizza. I ate a slice and a few bites of a second slice, and thought ot tasted a little doughy, I checked the base, which was still a little raw. Annoying, but it happens, not a big deal. I alerted the server and made him aware that my pizza was a little raw, he quickly took it and said "no problem, I'll sort it". Great attitude, I thought. Then my pizza was returned. They hadn't made me a new one, which I wouldn't have been upset by, had it been nice. Instead, they burnt the pizza I had returned. I always feel awkward going out to eat, as a celiac it's often awkward. But I've never been made to feel quite like this. It goes without saying, I did not eat any more of thr pizza, and left very hungry and disappointed.
Second visit in as many months as just as good as the first: Leanne was our server on Sat 5th April and she was superb. Arrive but not over the top. Friendly and welcoming. Great experience and will be backFood: 5/5
Lovely meal today in Norwich. I've been to many in the franchise and this one was very busy today. A very family friendly restaurant in central Norwich. Service was excellent...food was good. Nice and clean facilities. The cheese fondue was very good.Food: 4/5
Absolutely lovely family meal out, celebrating my Fiancés Birthday and his completion of his PhD. The food was superb, we were all blown away by the quality and how tasty it was, and actually very well priced given the standard! But the bit that really made the whole evening for us was our Server Leanne, she was brilliant, funny, very attentive and not a single thing was too much trouble, even making sure to remind us to take a family photo as we always forget. From one hospitality worker to another, thank you Leanne for really making our evening!
Went here on a Friday evening, booked ahead for me and my partner and got their about five minutes early, we stood in the entrance where it told us to wait and about 5 minutes later got noticed and taken to our table a few minutes later by a lovely gentleman. Sat down and had a look around and the restaurant looks lovely it is kitchen very clean and very nice looking and smells great, I did notice however a lot of tables that were unclean and they took a while to clean table and clear them. We tried to order our food and for about 10 minutes it didn't accept our table as existing so we waited for a staff member to order in person and a member of staff came over and said they couldn't take our order as they were busy and we had to order through the site code scan and she had just allowed our table to order I guess they have to set tables to be order first? Which I feel like 10 minutes was a little long to be waiting and to not have the option to order to a person and not online was a little annoying. My partners drink arrived and mine did not so after about five minutes i had to ask and they brought me one over but i believe they had forgotten about mine. We ordered a cheese fondue starter which was lovely and could not be faulted.The mains were lovely me and my partner both had pasta dishes which were delicious and worked very well, I ordered a manzo piccante which was very tasty and full of flavour and looked lovely although I was a little disappointed with how little meatballs or chicken I added chicken they had put in, my partner had spaghetti Al pomodoro which she said was absolutely lovely and had no complaints. For desert we had brownie Al forne which was in my opinion perfect with cherry gelato as well it was absolutely gorgeous in flavour and look, overall I reccomend it but i think it would be on a weekday as all of the staff seemed a little busy and flustered.
Ludouit was fantastic serving us tonight. Always present but never pushy. Very polite and very friendly being sure to communicate with us as parents and also to our 4 year old.. He had good knowledge of the menu and made some good suggestions of food. Kid-friendliness: Very friendly staff for children. And ready lily available pencils and colouring pages.
Came for dinner at ask Italian for my boyfriend’s birthday and we had a really lovely evening! Delicious food and cocktails! A big thank you to Harry and Ludo for the service! Ask Italian never disappoints xxFood: 5/5
