I like this hypermarket, it raises similar to Walmart in the states, the prices are lower than the average. The quality of their products are reliable. There is a free parking in front, you can order ahead and pick, besides you can order to be delivered. They accept cash and credit, beside you pay by self-service.
I don't go in Asda as often as I used to - I shop in Tesco and Sainsbury's more now as I have store cards but I had a terrible experience today which I wasn't in the mood for! I bought a bottle of red wine as a Christmas gift for my dad's friend and needed approval and a miserable older man with white hair and glasses in a yellow jacket just tossed my small trolley out the way without a hello, I hadn't purchased many items and I said 'Don't just push my trolley like that, it's very rude!' he just went off on one and argued back without saying SORRY, it's true when people say the staff need customer care skills but I usually get good service here and hardly have a problem! I spoke to Dawn on customer service who is very sweet and a lovely manager came over and I complained how the man treated me and she said she'd speak to his line manager! I was very pleased with the outcome and professionalism of the manager but that old man was not proactive at all, he ought to retire there is no need to argue with decent customers however you're feeling don't do the job I need a job and can't get one and would never treat anybody in this way!!
This Asda used to be the best. It was open 24 hours, was clean, well stocked and had friendly staff. But it all seemed to go downhill throughout the pandemic and hasn't recovered. Trolleys in parking spaces, rats in the car park over by the bushy section, beggars stationed at the entrance I give to the homeless regularly but sometimes they hound you both when you're going in and coming out, terrible new opening times - this is wolverhampton...after 10/11ish nothing is open. The city needs at least one late night supermarket for people who work late, prefer off peak shopping, or need supplies in an emergency. Empty shelves, some rude staff, crates and pallets blocking isles that you have to drag out of the way to get past, tardiness with opening times, faulty card readers at the petrol station, no foam in the car wash. I don't wanna go over the top...it's just an ASDA...but it's been a frustrating place to shop at recently.
Absolutely disgusted. Was attacked by a member of staff physically manhandled and verbally assaulted by them and ASDA have made me feel like I want to quit and now I have and the other person gets away without getting a disciplinary action and would not give me a transfer away from them as my mental health was affected by why being manhandled and targeted for the first 3 weeks of me being there
[edit] Customer sevice been able to sort out the below issue. Waiting for refund which I should receive within 5 days.[Edit] I made online order with express delivery from them. When I unpacked my shoping from bags I realized that about half of my order is missing. I made a refund request via app. They answered to me its sorry to hear that and they rejected my refund request for missing items. I have no products and no money now. Thiefs! I wrote to customer service about that. Waiting for asswer now. If you dont deliver the missing items or refund me my money you will be reported to Trading Standards and court action will be taken agains you!
So sad to hear this.. got home from work to find out my partner shopped at this store today. He found a handbag full of contents, phone, purse ect, he went back into store and handed the bag into customer services. The girl took the handbag, left my partner standing there and proceeded to scroll through the phone. No Thankyou, didn't take his name, nothing. So he walked off in discuss. He then phoned Customer Service when he returned home., to make sure they knew he handed the bag in and was disappointed with the lack of response from the girl behind the desk. The reply was is there anything else I can help you with. Well Asda I think you need to train your staff that claim to be Customer Services!!! Hope the lady got her bag back and Well Done Terry Green for being so honest!
Very good store for household items, grocery, ambient food and frozen food. Good choice of food for vegetarian in frozen section and Asian food. Good offers in the store.Free parking for 2 hours. Toilets for customers in the store.
The place has definitely gone downhill over the past two years. From my personal experiences the managers don't care about the customers. On my last two encounters Laura Manager has been extremely RUDE and unprofessional. Also this particular Customer Service Assistant pictured below is consistently unprofessional and a jobsworth. I have tried to give her the benefit of the doubt at times, but it never works out. I truly believe she needs training on how to work with people. If you buy loose fruit for 100.0005g and it should only be 100g, beware. She will follow the rule book on how to deal with that .0005g. The store used to have a warmer feeling but the managers don't care about customer service and are extremely cold. Aaron, John Cortez, and Laura are not overly trustworthy or nice in my opinion dealing with them. They should be welcoming, not ready to show you the door. I will vote with my pocket and feet and not use the store unless I'm extremely desperate.
Absolutely disgusted with this store and ASDAs lack of customer service in general. Purchased this air fryer at the Wolverhampton store and found it to have been used and a completely different brand. Either swapped by staff or someone who was confident that the item would not be opened and checked by customer services. Item was taken back and refunded but manager was in a meeting of course and could not be addressed in person. Was told that the manager would call back which they hadn’t by the end of the week. When we called again we were told they do not address these issues over the phone. Asda really do not care about customer service. The guy I emailed wasn’t interested either. Shall not be using any Asda store again.
On July 23rd at 8pm a delivery driver named Dal from ASDA Wolverhampton Jack Hayward Way parked his van in front of our property, blocking the road and the way out. I asked him to move the van. Whilst he reversed the van he was going to hit my car - to avoid a crash onto the nearside of my car, I drove my car out of the way to avoid him and in the process I curbed/damaged my alloy wheel as I hit the curb edge. He apologized, he said he was sorry and that ASDA will sort the damage out to my wheel. The damage is visible on the pictures attached. Dal asked for my phone number so the ASDA manager Aaron/Arun can to get back to me on the same day. Arun/Aaron never got in touch with myself. Unfortunately dealing with the ASDA management over the past month and a half has been not only difficult, it's been near impossible. No one has called me yet and I've had to chase the store consistently about the incident. In early August I received a phone call from ASDA's insurance company and they stated that they'd been given information from ASDA that I had ADMITTED LIABILITY FOR THE INCIDENT. Which was a total untruth!!. I suspect Arun/Aaron lied to their insurance company to try to ' cover themselves '. To be honest, I don't consider myself an overly naive person, but the way ASDAs' Management John Cortez/Laura/Arun/Aaron have lied/mislead myself about contacting me, potentially lied to insurance companies, and given me the cold shoulder over an incident I didn't cause has left a nasty taste in my mouth. If you ever have any potential dealings with ASDA , just be aware that they can be extremely evasive, crafty and dishonest. Dealing with ASDA definitely hasn't made me 'Save money and live better'.
