I had a good experience today at Santander. There was no queue and the lady who saw me was very helpful and professional. They have good social distancing and cleanliness measures in place with hand sanitizer and barriers. All the staff were also wearing masks and gloves. I felt very safe and my visit was efficient and easy. I would definitely recommend this branch.
Been with Santander for 10 years with my personal business account self employed. I have seen my club go from part time alongside other work I did, to now turning over £100,000. My accountant suggested I switch to a Limited company. Took a while to speak to someone with April closing in. Eventually spoke to Tauheed who asked many questions. Despite being business manager there was a lot of things he needed to go check up on. He seemed concerned I purchase custom boxing gloves abroad... however I then checked and found that I no longer need to send overseas payments anyway. I was to have to wait several days for a response. In the end I had to chase him. He said he was still waiting a response but currently it would be either £7.50 or £12.50 a month. Following day I chased as still no response as promised and he emailed to say they can't offer me anything right now??? I asked for reasons and he couldn't say anything on email. He said he tried to call and I had explained I live out in the sticks so either a home phone call or just reply supply via email. Still nothing! This is bang out of order in my opinion to have used Santander for so many year's, never been in debt or had any issue. Then have waiting over 2 weeks I get no response to why!? Thankfully both NatWest and Virgin Money could sort out banking instantly with me and even offered standard overdraft should I need it. It was set up with Virgin in minutes and their app has been fantastic so far. I tried to stay with Santander having been used to their online banking and for loyalty, with my don't fix what isn't broken attitude. I've now got 3 days to shift all my income and outgoings across before 1st to trade as a limited company in new tax year. Tauheed still has given me no reasonings despite being reminded of the loyalty I have shared with Santander for a decade and having had nearly 3 weeks of my time wasted to offer the my business. 10 years of banking I was happy with spoilt by one branch and 1 bank manager. Not happy at all.
Bank Closes at 3 why every other bank is open till 5.30.
I was met near the entrance by a worker there who asked me what I needed help with. She conducted herself in a professional manner to start with and then told me that I would need to wait to be seen and so I waited. 10 minutes had passed and the worker who I was pointed in the direction of before was free, however the worker who had met me initially decided to leave her post and didn't bother telling her colleague that I was to be seen by her. I then had to wait another 10 minutes as another customer were seen before me even though it was highlighted that I had been waiting for longer! The worst experience I've had with any bank ever!
I have attended this branch and had great customer service via clake a gentleman whom wears glasses his amazing and friendly to customers. Now the negative of this visit ..... A lady on entry was brilliant at meet and greeting customer , lined up at counter as i needed a print out of account was seen by a abrupt male clark an asian man who shouted and was dismissive of my request or too lazy ........ directed me to another colleagues within one of the rooms .he was so loud that his colleagues at the entrance heard him and was able to assistance ,without me mentioning a thing due to this male clake loud voice .had to wait another 20mins to see this lady in the room for her to tell me she has to request print out via head office .by this time i was annoyed assume she processed request ,and i would receive in 10 days . 10 days passed i called up customer service to my disbelief nothing was processed ......The gentleman over phone dealt with my now irate attitude very well and sorted error of in branch staff . i have now received info i requested 14 days later thanks to telephone banking please santander employe staff that can do their jobs or better training its not rocket science .......what a waste of time and space
Given wrong info have to go into the branch to make an appointment which means two trips. No idea why things can't be done over the phone!
Members of staff are polite enthusiastic and on hand to assist all customers
The new lockdown opening hours do not accommodate key essential workers and those working from home
I cannot get to the bank but they still want me to go in?
Nice and very helpful stuff. Great bank in general and recommended.
