Argos Ashton under Lyne Snipe Retail Park

Recently bought my Oculus Quest 2 from here, ordered online and received a code instantly. Went down and collected my order with no fuss. Free parking outside and friendly staff.

The staff are jobsworths, patronising & accuse innocent customers of stealing. The most horrible shopping experience ever. The way they treat honest, paying customers is appalling, they should all be sacked

The staff are jobsworths, patronising & accuse innocent customers of stealing. They are not friendly or helpful in the slightest. They're on about 9.50 an hour, hate their jobs and take it out on the customers. I bought some batteries, online using my Argos card, these batteries were 5 pounds. Yet the amount of security checks they wanted to do, you would have thought it was an X - Box series X or PS5. Anyway, I paid for these batteries online then went to pick them up the next day. I presented the confirmation email on my phone with the order number, 4 digit PIN and my full driving license with my photo on it. That wasn't good enough, she wanted the Argos card too, when I told them that I'd forgot my card and it'd be a major inconvenience going home and getting it traffic, petrol, time etc. the miserable CHAV of a woman developed a right attitude & told me that I could have just found the bag with the ID in it & I could be trying to steal these batteries over 2 cheap watch batteries?! really? And have I stole the phone too with the confirmation email? Where's the common sense? Anyway, I went home, got the card and went back - I wasn't happy and told I them. Some dude with glasses told me not to bother shopping there again. Like I'd ever want to.

Great customer service from start to finish. It’s a shame I can’t remember the name of the woman that saw I had my hands full and preceded to help me place my order and also reserve another other and the guy that help me carry my stuff to the car. Shame I can’t remember their names

Visited yesterday to purchase a bed for my mum. An was served by a genuinely lovely member of staff named Tabs I believe. She was friendly helpful an there was a offer on so I saved loads of money thanks to her. Have previously been in this store an not had a very good service to be honest. However tabs is lovely. Will be definitely going back. Ten out of ten

Employee 'KELLY' foul attitude. Entered store 18/9 with partner and children for a return, partner said "I'd like to return item as damaged, we got it for my daughters birthday." employee 'Kelly' said "You can't cause theres nothing wrong with it" My partner responded "But it's damaged" 'Kelly' responded "You never said that" my partner insisted "Yes I did". 'Kelly' responds "No you didn't and if you carry on with your attitude you'll get nothing'. I was absolutley shocked at her overall aggressive attitude, lack of customer service & inability to listen to something so straight forward, perhaps she was in a bad mood but it was totally uncalled for and unacceptable, she didn't apologise either. We reported her to the Manager in store at that time but doubt she'd accept she was in the wrong. I was there as witness to the fact my partner did indeed inform her from the first sentance it was a damaged item, avoid dealing with her if you can. Very manipulative & domineering individual.

There's not a lot to say about an Argos shop really. There's nothing to set this one apart from any other. There's plenty of free parking and it's open the usual late retail times. Never had to queue for very long to get my order or be served.

Never take insurance with these clowns because they will never pay out

Best to order online and collect here. Online orders have better options and offers. Snipe retail park has good free parking. Argos store: Easy to order. Tills and screens available. Books and catalogues available. Easy to collect at collection point. Service People are very friendly and helpful. Went in to buy something and ended up buying lots more stuff that we found useful. My 3rd purchase from Argos in a year.
