Fantastic food especially the buffalo wings were just perfect. The service was excellent the person behind the bar was a really nice person. By and large a Tip Top joint!Food: 5/5
First time in London and my friend took me to try the Sunday Roast! The only English dish I knew was Fish and Chips and this new plate was definitely a surprise, considering that UK cousine is quite limited. The meat was very good, the sider was a Yorkshire Puddin- which is a salty bread along with some vegetables. Staff was friendly, the pub had posh vibes, which I felt in Gossip Girl London version and prices were fair considering how insanely expensive London is. Definitely recommend!
Have only been living in London a few months now but have been to the Anglesea Arm's a couple times already. A great Sunday roast and Saturday dinner à la carte menu.Food: 5/5
Have to say I came here for a Sunday Roast and it was delightful. It's a nice hidden gem, what's even better is the restaurant is at the back and away from the main bar, which is always a nice addition / surprise too. Also would recommend walking down from Kensingston Gardens. The Sunday roast is also an absolute must, roast beef all the way + also plenty of other options too. Nice staff and really enjoyed the first time here. Solid A***** LDT x
Always a good vibe for a pint. They have the big football matches on! The terrace is a nice bonus on sunny days.Food: 3/5
A lovely atmosphere with a great Sunday roast. I popped in by myself late this Sunday. The Bar was quite busy, and the dining area was full, but the staff managed to find me a little table to myself and offered table service in the bar area which was greatly appreciated as I was by myself. The duck terrine starter was really tasty, and the roast pork was fantastic. I finished off with a delicious sticky toffee pudding. The service from all the staff was great whilst I was there, I really appreciated the quality of the food, despite the fact that I was probably the last dining table on a busy Mother's day service. I would recommend popping in to the Anglesea if you're in the area
South Kensington  £7.10 Asahi A superb South Ken local. . The Anglesea Arms is nestled on a corner in a quaint street in South Kensington. It’s about an eight minute walk from South Ken Tube to get here, luckily It's far enough away from the tube and museums that few tourists ever find it. . This attractive Grade II listed pub blends seamlessly in to its surroundings and has stood here since 1827, I love the two Victorian gas lamps guarding the entrance to the pub. . The decor here is stunning and everything you want a traditional pub to be. This pub has two defined areas, the main bar is at the front, if you head down a few stairs to the left of the bar is the sumptuous candle lit dining room. There are some really beautiful features here including Georgian wall panels, etched glass, Victorian pendants and for good measure throw in a large painting of a naked lady with her thrupenny bits out. . The beer line up was excellent and included four cask ales and a host of premium lagers. I had a pint of Asahi which is favourite of mine, my pint was great and cost just over seven sovs which was to be expected. I arranged to meet my Daughter here for a roast dinner and a bit of a catch up. We had three courses each and we both agreed the food was outstanding. A roast chicken dinner with all the trimmings costs £19. A big shout out to the staff here, the service was first class. . The atmosphere was convivial, there was a nice local feel to the place, it was almost like a village pub rather than a South Ken haunt. The crowd here was full of well-to-do locals both in large groups and couples, plus the odd eccentric solo patron. . My Daughter and I spent a good couple of hours here and enjoyed every minute. The ambiance, the booze, the food and the service were all top notch, I couldn’t fault any part of my experience. The price point was a little over average and was worth it, we all deserve a blowout now and then. . @theangleseaarms was a superb visit, loved it . . ℹ Info correct on visiting 26.03.23
A great offering from Greene King. The Angles Arms on Onslow Street is a great pub offering a fine range of beers, both from cask and keg. Super service from the crew and a lovely pint of beer. There is a most delightful dining area down the steps towards the back of the pub. The pub appears to have been here since c.1825. A great place for a beer.
Fabulous local pub. Went with the family on a Thursday evening and arrived early. Roaring fire. Staff found us a table but I would definitely recommend reserving. Menu as you can see was fresh and seasonal. Had mussels which were fabulous. Every dish was excellent. Well prepared and presented. Staff very attentive. Reasonably priced. My only regret is that I don’t live next door! Will return. Kid-friendliness: Children’s menu. Good quality. Very reasonable price. Food is prioritized and comes out fast which is appreciated.
Fantastic portions with great service! They were welcoming, and efficient when I wanted to book a table. Ordered seabass, the skin was crispy & flesh succulent, it was accompanied by roasted potatoes, salad and capers. The fish & chips had a crisp batter, soft meat with proper British chips, tartare sauce and mushy peas. Wholeheartedly recommend the South Kensington Anglesea Arms! Went well with a pint of Timothy Taylors Landlord.
