Welcome to The Bridge in Barnes, located a stones throw away from the iconic Hammersmith Bridge, it really is a wonder how the original founders thought of our name those many years ago!?
Historically part of Surrey, Barnes appeared in the Doomsday book of 1086 listing its assets as “8 hides, 5 ploughs and 20 acres of Meadow” worth in total £7
As I’m sure you agree… we have come a bit further than that today. With the completion of the second Hammersmith Bridge in June 1887 (the first one couldn’t take the weight of the supporters of the University Boat Race) we are now able to gain access to the best products London has on offer.
